lI remember this speech and it moved me when I heard it for the first time.
I stumbled across it today and it reminded me of who we have become. She was right then and remains so today, but for her commitment to her beliefs (which are correct by the way), she’s been ridiculed and attacked by the very leaders she spoke of then, because of the inconvenient truth.
Ironically AI will kill us before climate change does, so not only did leaders not listen, they are now throwing trillions at AI in the belief they will make even more trillions without a single thought for what they have created and the consequences it will have.
Greed induced stupidity is an epidemic and this administration is the poster child for that stupidity. It may well be too late to stop our own extinction already, but Jesus, for us to be aiding and abetting extinction is sheer madness.
