I just wanted to say for the record that Dr Fauci did EXACTLY the right thing by pleading the 5th. He remains in my opinion one of the most consequential men of his generation.
It was the best thing he could have done to deny Republicans hellbent on destroying him their search for performative social media clips.
His reputation stands the test of time and will continue to do so when these fools are long gone.
Thanks to Lawrence O'Donnel for his spot on assessment of what yesterday was all about.
