When did working class become something vital to escape from?

The greatest con perpetrated by the rich on the working class is convincing the backbone of the economy to be ashamed of their part in building a nation with their labour that has make the wealthy obscenely rich.

Modern western economies were quite literally built on the backs of the blood sweat and tears of the ‘working class’. Without their toil and sweat there would be no economy, there would be no wealth. As with all exploitation, it relies on those creating the wealth to buy into the dream of social mobility the rich sell as their escape from ‘the working class’.

For decades it worked as those toiling in the engine room of the economy were convicted their efforts had led them to the land of milk and honey called the ‘middle class’. Slowly the rich convinced the workforce that ‘working class’ was a dirty word and that anyone fighting for their rights were communists and a threat to the progress of them, their families and the nation.

The American dream shifted from earning more wealth from your labour to rebranding the status quo as ‘middle class’. The rich presented a world in which working longer hours and more jobs earned you marginally more money, but far more important, the silver star that declared you ‘middle class’. It was a con as evidenced by 64% of workers now living pay-check to pay-check.

All the time this was happening real wage growth was lucky if it maintained pace with inflation as executive remuneration and shareholder wealth drove an ever-increasing gap between the bottom and the top, which grew exponentially. Social mobility simply became an illusion as the oligarchs filled their pockets on the labour of those now chasing a label instead of better wages.

The rich had created the perfect permissive environment for sociopolitical division in the form of a left and right culture war. The left believed that an equitable society was worth fighting for, while the working class right were told by the wealthy that this equality nonsense was holding them back from joining the ‘rich club’, and it was being made worse by immigrants stealing their jobs etc.

The bizarre outcome is that the rich were able to convince the working class right that the left asking for equal rights and a fair shot to at the American dream was at their expense, resulting in them being locked out of dream they were promised. The woke nonsense and regulations that come with it meant they were getting poorer because the rich can’t now earn enough to share.

The result is that the left are attacked by the oligarchs along with a proxy army of the working class right, who now spend their lives defending the wealthy as they punch themselves in the face on the way to economic slavery. It is truly bizarre that when in search of money to make government operate efficiently, the rich have convinced MAGA supporters that healthcare and food assistance cuts are the price of belonging to Club Trump.

You have to ask yourself why when asked how their lives could be better. Rather than believing the rich should simply pay their fair share, they instead look to immigration and DEI as the reason they are being forced into poverty. It’s much easier to believe that they are being held back by black, brown people and gays than accept that the rich have played them like a fiddle.

Feudalism has been restored. This is not about left versus right or the middle class versus the working class this is about the haves and the have yachts. The rich are trying to find the sweet spot that exists just before revolution. It completely messes with my mind.
