We have become slaves to social voyeurism, while victims of abuse drown in the torture of crimes perpetrated against them.

This clip by Ezra Klein for the New York Times Opinion Desk is well worth 7 minutes of your time, because it challenges your thinking regardless of which side of the fence you sit on.

My position has always has been and remains, that this story may be like crack cocaine to those who can’t live a day without outrage, but to many who have been the victims of such abuse, they are being forced to relive it every day for nothing but political point scoring and social voyeurism.

This is going to go on and on, because people are making money from it while victims of abuse retreat into their nightmares and nobody gives a damn. It sickens me as the father of a daughter who has lived this nightmare.
