I want you to listen to David North an unapologetic socialist, then tell me his argument is not compelling. It’s evident from history that socialism is not the answer to fascistic tyranny. Which is why social democracy delivers a sense of middle ground.
I believe, as I said in my Substack yesterday in capitalism, but capitalism with baked in social responsibility.
David would stand toe to toe with me I’m sure, to argue the merits of socialism, but in the end we would have to agree to disagree. However, I defy anyone to listen to this clip and tell me he’s not spot on in his assessment of where we are in this moment.
