Trump’s reckless Venezuelan jaunt really is nothing new. Rarely does it deliver anything other than to feed the military-industrial complex.
As the dust settles on this performative military intervention on a failed state, the US is just further regarded as a pariah state by the international community. Nobody respects the United States; they merely pity the American people as a convicted criminal continues to destroy what’s left of its reputation on the world stage.
This was not a display of power as they attacked a military minnow and spoke as it as if they had won a great military victory, I’m sure China are shaking in their boots (NOT).
Trump, the ‘no more wars’ president, is now positively giddy at the thought of attacking Mexico, Colombia and Greenland with his new toys. This will not end well, be assured of that, but as long as he can use it to stop the midterms, he doesn’t care.
