If you’re not rich, 2025 has been a year most would like to forget but can’t, because of the mental scars it has left on those for whose life is no longer about living and is now about survival.
We have over the years, looked on New Year’s Eve as a day to reflect, but more importantly to look forward to what we hope will be better times ahead.
This year is different because of a cabal pulling the strings on a useful idiot. They have their eyes fixed on the prize of empire, global deregulation and economic slave colonies, using the White House as their global headquarters for state sponsored extortion and fear.
These malign actors are missing one important obstacle. ‘WE THE PEOPLE’. The world has been here before and tyranny fails every time because those being forced to live in a perpetual state of fear, eventually say ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.’, as they reach for the pitchforks.
I believe 2026 will be that year. Rest assured, I along with millions of others will be working hard to fight tyranny EVERY DAY. So I say to those reading this, ‘Together we can restore the soul of America, revive the hope of the American Dream and help deliver a better tomorrow, where no child goes to bed hungry and no family gets left behind.’
In the words of the late great John Lewis:
“Take a long, hard look down the road you will have to travel once you have made a commitment to work for change. Know that this transformation will not happen right away. Change often takes time. It rarely happens all at once. In the movement, we didn't know how history would play itself out. When we were getting arrested and waiting in jail or standing in unmovable lines on the courthouse steps, we didn’t know what would happen, but we knew it had to happen."
I’ll leave you with the words of someone I have come to know and admire as a long distance friend. @defiance13, a man whose words will I am sure be read for generations to come when people speak of these times. While uncertainty might surround us in this moment, his words bring with them the clarity and motivation we all so desperately needs in this moment.
Go into the new year with these thoughts seared into your mind and together we can defeat this tyranny:
“2026 is not the year we play it safe. It is the year we stop asking whether change is possible and start acting like it’s necessary. It’s the year we remember that courage is contagious, that solidarity scales, that people who believe in each other are harder to break than any system built on fear.
So if you’re tired, good, it means you’re paying attention. If you’re angry, even better, that means your moral compass still works. And if you’re scared, that’s OK. Welcome to the beginning of something real, because there are moments in history when retreat seems sensible, and those are exactly the moments when staying becomes an act of defiance itself. So we’re not leaving and we’re not turning back.
