Let me begin by saying it’s not my intention to send out more supplemental posts by email, but I thought today these additional posts were important additions to the conversation in this moment.
I know Ezra Klein is not everyone’s cup of tea and while I don’t agree with everything he says, I often find him a to be a quiet port in a storm.
Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, he wrote a piece for the New York Times that saw some significant pushback from the left. I have to admit he left even me scratching my head with regard to the respect he said he had for Kirk.
My position is clear, Kirk did not deserve to die, nobody does, but I’m all out of any sense of respect for a man who peddled racial hatred, misogyny and white supremacy.
Ezra decided to respond to the pushback from his NYT piece which I think is worth airing on Truth Matters because I believe he raises some interesting and valid points following his reflections on his piece.
I’ll let you decide for yourself.
