AI IS a revolution of monumental proportions, of that there is no doubt. I understand it I work with it at a programatic level. It can change humanity for the good, but tragically it is in the hands of those who believe that any benefit to humanity is seen rather as a pleasant value added benefit of the primary goal, which is to not create untold wealth for the good of society, but to make untold wealth at the expense of society.
It seems clear that in the case of the US, this technology is the last chance saloon for a malignant narcissist that has built a fantasy world where the population is deceived into voting against their own best interests by advocating daily for tribalism and a tribal game where the primary objective is not to create a better society, but to be cruel and humiliate those not prepared to believe the lies and or share your point of view.
This truly is an inflection point at which we either control this tech revolution or die at its hand, it really is as simple as that. This takes me back to my assertion that AI tech companies are the new banks too big to fail. The government is already preparing to bail them out if the bubble bursts, so get prepared to suffer like you never have before for the US to attempt to win an AI race against China they will lose.
