Nobody is doubting the US has the greatest military on earth, even though China might disagree.
The problem is that war has changed, as Ukraine has shown over the last 4 years. Multimillion dollar military hardware can be eliminated by cheap drones costing less than a family night out to see Taylor Swift.
For sure war is not a computer game or a graphic novel. Technology might make a fight seem easier on paper, but ultimately it comes down to will, resilience and love for the land people call home.
Arrogance doesn’t win wars, a willingness to sacrifice does, as America’s enemies have shown time and time again. It’s long been accepted that doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity, yet here we are again.
Hubris has led to a made for TV adventure in which the script says America wins, yet every military analyst worth their salt will tell you, Iran is not a nation easily defeated, but that won’t stop a clown intend on bringing a circus to town.
This is a war that will ultimately lead to defeat because it’s unwinnable for the U.S. Iran knows that this is about interceptor stocks and Trump is bluffing when it comes to claims that stocks are unlimited.
China and Russia are now involved behind the scenes, happy to watch the U.S. drain weapons stocks and get bogged down in a war which will deliver little by way of economic or geopolitical advantage. Iran is prepared to fight an insurgency for as long as it takes for Trump to become bored.
