I have been worried since the beginning of the detentions that they would use undocumented workers as slave labor for jobs that they were previously being paid for. I look forward (sadly) to your next article. I hope you prove my worries to be unsubstantiated
No slavery is embedded in the USA genome. Tipping exists bc of that slavery mentality. It’s abhorrent people aren’t paid a living wage. They aren’t paid a living wage bc you don’t recompense slaves like you do ‘real’ people like white CEOs and billionaires.
