Thank you for forwarding this article to us. I have forwarded it to as many people as I can think of since, as you said, it is important. My $ is spread pretty thin these days, but I’m considering adding another Substack author to my arsenal—yours. Thank you, Martin.

Yes Peggy! I love that Martin is amplifying this Hungarian voice who is sharing powerful lessons to us about MAGA's "model" of leadership... and how to prevent it.

The entire premise of this war with Iran is ridiculous. And who is trump to say that Iran should never be allowed to have an atomic bomb? Countries all over the world have atomic bombs. North Koreans Kim Jong nut-ball, the man that trump said he “fell in love with” has about 60 nuclear weapons. Can you imagine what people would say if Joe Biden had said that he "fell in love"with the dictator from north korea? He would be eviscerated. But for trump this is normal speaking behaviorl. Trump is full of s*** , and is a crazy, demented, mean- spirited old man. And he's getting worse by the day. His next birthday he will be 80, and his declining cognitive health we'll be more and more obvious to everyone that listens to him. He gets his words mixed up and often he can't even pronounce things, let alone utter sentences that make sense. And it serves the American people right, in some ways, because they voted for this idiot maniac, Trump! TWICE! Trump said he would put an end to foreign wars and lower the cost of living for Americans. Instead, he he bombs, Iran. Even though they posed no imminent threat. and as a result of the war that trump started, the American consumer is paying much more money for gasoline, for housing, for transportation, for health care, and many other things. Trump is a clear and present danger to the United States and to the entire world. Quite frankly, I am ashamed to be an American citizen. It will take many years to undo the damage that Mitch McConnell and donald trump have done to the United States reputation, and its place in the world. This corrupt and idiotic Trump administration cannot end soon enough! Sincerely, David Morris who was born long ago in Fort Wayne Indiana.

Brilliant post from Zsofie. It's spot on, to the current WH regime inner crimes . In particular this paragraph rang home about the corporate Democrats , the DNC manipulation.

"The question was whether anyone could look at their candidate without a voice in their head saying: yes, but remember what they did. Every familiar face from the democratic camp arrived pre-disqualified.That is not an accident. It is a design feature."

Thank you Martin always✌️💪

The fascist/conservative/authoritarian movement in the U.S. is so different from what's described there, was my thought, though I can see why Republicans looked to Hungary as a success story. Successful corruption. In America Republicans created the conditions they now exploit. They refined their stories, the lies, as they went along. Fifty years of vandalism and sabotage have done their work, hand-in-hand with the marketing job they did selling Americans on the opposite of the truth. What else can you do when you're trying to sell people stuff they definitively don't want. A shift occurred. By the time Republicans were done a big share of the electorate only wanted revenge and to see their anger embodied in something.

I was the first to benefit from Martin's generosity in sharing the work of other writers. And in Zsofie's story, again, he's found something very much worth spotlighting. Her account is remarkable - and full of so many lessons Americans in particular need to hear right now. Thank you, Martin. And thank you to Zsofie, and Hungary, for giving us all a glimmer of hope for the future.
