I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your deep dives into the issues here...from across the pond. Sadly, every point you make is real and coming truer by the second.

You are very kind Karen. I know this one is pretty long, but I’ve stopped regulating myself when it comes to time, because you’re done when you’re done, right?

Right! Whatever it takes to get the word out - and believed. I think people are so accustomed to democracy they cannot imagine it won't prevail. It is devastating to think it (likely) may not. We will be visiting the Cotswolds in a couple of months and though our British friends there are equally shocked at terrible trump (I never capitalize his name), we will have a delightful getaway in that beautiful setting. Then we see Hamilton in London - how appropriate, right?

Ty. I appreciate your thoughts. Eugenics is a tough topic.. I am tagging @HeatherCoxRichardson to consider this topic as well: Do you agree with these thoughts?

I also wonder if the US has really done much to overcome racism and how much people are willing to do in the name of power and money.

You hit the nail on the head. These criminals must be dealt with and the insanity that goes clean back to Hitlerl. Trump is the new Hitler and this is a real and present danger to every man woman, and child.

Wake Up People the monsters are present and they. need to be dealt with

Martin, what's the comparison between analysts like you, who are exposing the fascistic perpertrations being made by this administration, to whatever was speaking against Hitler? Was there as intelligent a cadre of critics, who I see not rolling over to let fascist forces succeed here?

I have the same question as Sue!

Humans somehow believe they have the capacity to determine which traits are superior to other traits with poor understandi g tge consequences of selecting those chosen traits effects on the organism they are designing. Ma Nature makes many errors in evolution that only get corrected when the weak links eliminate themselves. No matter how we learn more and more about genetics and Crispr our hubris dooms us to failure.

I have seen so many defects in so called purebred dogs, horses, cattle, chickens and pigs to ever want to see us make designer babies. What a form of child abuse would that be.

Aberrations like trump and American dracula have already occurred without any interference. I can only imagine in horror what we would deliberately design.

ALOHA... PELAU BAGAS... IT'S BEEN SAID...“Fear is the tool of a tyrant, wielded to suppress independent thought. Instead of fear, let this moment fuel the fire that already burns at the heart of this place. A fire of righteous indignation at abuses of power.”

Yes, he certainly is.

The ideology may always exist, but with Trump in office he's bringing them all out in the open and exposing them for who and what they are, so we can recognize who they are, at least, and maybe even hold them to account.

It's clear you've done much research on this subject. It's tragic that some whites believe there is no room for any people of color in their world.

I come from a state widely diverse, and if it were studied as an "experiment" in mixing races and religions I'd say it's generally a success, with the exception being centered around poverty. Every impoverished group, across all lines, struggles and is vulnerable to falling ill to mental illness or other, resorting to crime and/or becoming a burden on the state, financially. Whites have proven to be vulnerable to any and all of these areas, if sick, disabled, elderly or alone, subsistimg on a single income. THAT should be more publicized, but it's well hidden.

As far as i can see, one contributing factor to poverty that I can see is poor or no education. Perhaps not by choice, but by design, many end up in these impoverished positions due to a lack of advanced education and a connection with their communities at large. And we've fallen so low in the international rankings it's shameful. Yes, we need manual labor jobs as well as a highly- skilled workforce, but perhaps we can work to advance people out of manual labor jobs duos they want to. And how is it even possible that those who are largely responsible for teaching the next generations children are not paid even a living wage? It's sending the message that learning is not important to this country. Teachers should be considered as important as doctors or therapists, but it's AS IF the country wants to, in some way(s), cripple our population so they stay dependent upon the nation, and in lowly jobs, preferring to outsource the best and the brightest from other nations. And now with Trump attacking foreign visas and foreign students even that's not happening. We've suffered greatly, generationally.

Women and people of color have been aware for decades, to hundreds of years, that WE are only allowed to go so far up the ladder of success. We must know "our place" and who matters most.

Minorities, as a collective group, now surpass the number of white men in this country which MAY be what's driving this Project 2025 "push" at this time - along with the recognition that a person like Trump has been said to come along only about every 100 years or so. So this is THEIR opportunity, but I just can't believe people didn't see what this man was willing to do - outside the bounds of normalcy, and that the most important thing about the 2024 election was preserving our Democracy. Well, those that didn't want business-as-usual politics I suppose can celebrate that they got what they wanted - AND a whole lot more they hadn't bargained for - but what are they now willing to do about that? Those voters need to be swung to see the light and put pressure on their Reps and Senators to correct this mess, and then vote out the spoilers of this democracy - which for most of them will require voting outside of their party line for perhaps the first time in their lives. That's a tall order.

I don't normally quote anything Ekon Musk says as it's almost always self-serving, BUT I think it would be easier to create a NEW, more centrist party and move moderates from the left and the right over to the center, than it would be to have life-long Republicans vote for Democrats. I think it's a more palatable compromise - at least for the 2028 presidential election.

Back to my point about the experiment of mixing races within a state, money has been what has assured there could/would be a line of demarcation between the haves and the have nots - or whites and people of color. And with that gap having become yet larger in recent times you'd think the "haves" would be satisfied, but not so. And I don't mean to paint all well-positioned or wealthy people with the same brush as there are some kind, thoughtful rich humanitarians out there. It's just that why are so many wanting yet more? It seems that Vought and others are not just hellbent on gaining more, but in creating a 2-class state - one dominating over the other.

This cannot be allowed to stand. We must stay aware and vigilant to what is happening. So I thank you for putting the news out there. Is there any way you can become a guest on Jim Acosta's substack or Ben Meiselas' substack (to elevate the narrative) or Katie Phang's or Katie Couric's? I think a live interview with their large followings would catch more people's attention who are more visually oriented. Many people have been conditioned away from reading. And the young may actually see you there or on shorts developed after the full recording. You could always be kept off screen to protect your identity and disguise your voice.

We have to wake up The People AND the DNC. What you wrote about is so important and there's no time to waste.

Be well!

Eugenics is a fake science. If it was even based on facts, some mankind's greatest inventions, it's best art, would never have existed.

My family has a terrible history of alcoholism and drug abuse, and no one can predict at this time whether one’s child will inherit the tendency. It’s a cross we bear. In learning about crispr and the potential for genetic cures for disease, I have often wished that this technology could someday be used to identify and remove bad genes. In fact, i believe there are already companies that future parents can pay to examine their embryos for genetic illnesses. Would you say that’s a form of eugenics?

“It took a World War to stop Hitler, and yet it couldn't kill the ideology.”

I am very concerned this will be true in the US even if somehow the Democrats manage a comeback.

And yet the first step is seeing it and giving voice to it. So we have a beginning. We just keep raising awareness.
