We now live in a world where Trump’s every move is a news story, and he loves that. He loves it so much that if he’s not in the news, he’ll stick someone with a tariff or make something up. It’s an illness beyond the elephant ankles and being one Big Mac away from a state funeral sponsored by Coca-Cola. I do hope the pallbearers are in training, because that’s going to be a lot of political dead weight to carry.
The shadowy figures of Curtis Yarvin’s ‘dark enlightenment’ are now pacing in the shadows of government with their chosen one, JD Vance (Brutus), ready for Act 3 , Scene 1 of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The stage is set and the clock is ticking now that Trump has served his purpose. His stolen wealth will soon be meaningless because shrouds have no pockets. Tic Toc, Tic Toc. Anyone who ever thought this was about Trump should now be concluding that the useful idiot was just that—a useful idiot. The real American Red Caesar is simply biding his time as the supporting cast prepares the stage for his ascent to power. If Trump frightens you, then you should prepare yourself for genuine fear.
Americans are part of a 21st-century Shakespearean tragedy playing out in real time. There is little concern if Trump has to depart for an unscheduled meeting with a God whom he claims anointed him ‘the chosen one’, the God who steered an assassin’s bullet past a lying, cheating adulterer into Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old volunteer fire chief and apparent all-around good guy who went to church every Sunday. As they always say, ‘God works in mysterious ways.’ Vance is not the backup plan; he’s their chosen protagonist in this American tragedy.
As with all thrillers, we need to assess the fitness of the ‘good guys’ to understand the preparedness of the opposition to this assault on the very foundations of American society, and I am sorry to report that their grasp of the challenge ahead does not fill me with confidence. My problems with Democrats has always been their belief that the same old same old will prevail eventually. It’s been failing for years, and their inability to recognise it is unfathomable to any outside observer. If they think Trump was hard to fight, they had better hope they are not facing Vance, because once he’s driving the bus, discipline will kick in and the real challenge will begin.
I am now on the Democrats’ email list, and their requests for money are relentless. None of the emails ask me what I think; they just want regular access to my bank account. Democrats who are receiving this tsunami of begging emails have my deepest sympathy, because the framing of the messages is done in a way to guilt people into feeling that if they don’t cough up, they will be responsible for a continuation of the tyranny. My simple answer would be no cash without accountability for the failure of the 2024 campaign.
FEC numbers show that Democrats outspent Republicans by a not insignificant margin, yet they lost the House, the Senate, the White House and the popular vote. So if this was about money, the simple question is, why? It’s because it wasn’t just about the money. We all know that money rules in US politics, but the message matters too, and therein lies the problem. This ‘Give us your money, and leave us to decide what’s best for you’ is tired and ineffective. It does not foster buy-in, and who in their right mind thinks sending a begging email out every day, sometimes twice or three times in the same day, is a good idea?
People are being crushed under a regime that is transferring money from the poor to the rich at the fastest rate in history. They have Trump with his hand in their pockets every day when they attempt to feed their kids, while the DNC has their hands in the other pocket, saying the only way to escape the poverty Trump is imposing is to allow us to rob you instead. I am simply left speechless. As I said before, Democratic leadership should have been on the steps of the Capitol the day after Trump won the election to apologise to the American people for failing to present a vision for a better tomorrow, with a promise to work around the clock to do better. Instead, they hid away in a dark room in denial of failure, choosing to blame the stupid voters who voted for the fascist they were warned about.
Let me be very clear: I do believe there are some very capable, talented Democrats who have proved in recent months that they are more than capable of taking this fight to the MAGA tyranny brigade. My concern is simply that it appears to me this is a case of lions being led by donkeys. I always get pushback telling me not to lay the failure at the feet of Democrats; Trump is responsible for where we are. There is no question that Trump is responsible for the catastrophic position the US finds itself in. My problem is that it simply did not have to be this way if Democrats had transitioned to a new candidate after the 2022 midterms and Joe Biden had honoured his promise from 2019 to be the president that bridged the gap between the old and the new.
Before anyone gives me the old ‘hindsight is a wonderful thing’, I was saying it in 2022, as were several key Democratic strategists. Obama’s silence at the time should also have been a flashing red light, but leadership ignored all the warning signs. Democrats did what they always do. Change direction when there is no other choice, and by then it was way too late. Now you can tell me I’m wrong all day, but the evidence is clear: it was a systemic failure to recognise and mitigate the threat. However tough it may be to hear that these failures delivered America into the hands of a proven rapist and convicted felon, this is the uncomfortable truth, I’m afraid.
Before anyone asks, did I give my all at the time, by the way? Yes, I did. I created Ads and did my best to help shape the narrative, but we were always fighting a losing battle.
What I will confess to is not being aware at the time of just how much we were losing. And that is my big fear moving forward because I see no change in the approach of the Democratic leadership to the challenge ahead. Now you can argue that it’s easy to stand on the outside criticising. Do you honestly think this is what I want to spend my time doing? This won’t win me any extra friends. It’s more likely to result in me losing them. I’ve been here before. Unlike some, I am not here to tell people what they want to hear; I’m here to tell them what they NEED to hear.
There is absolutely no margin for error because failure is not an option. This is my primary concern, not whether I will upset some Democrats who struggle with the concept of hard truths. This tyranny is going nowhere unless the people rise up to drive it out of town. And that does not mean an Instagram-worthy token street protest, when you can find time from your busy day, spending your money to perpetuate the problem by feeding the monsters that are its source.
To be clear, I want Democrats to win because, like it or not, they are the only viable option. Third parties will simply deliver more tyranny because they will split the vote. My problem is not with the core belief that no child should go to bed hungry and no family should be left behind. My problem is not that workers should be able to depend on a living wage, and not have to work three jobs just to feed their children. My problem is not that healthcare should be a human right, or that paid family leave should not be a luxury. My concern is whether Democratic leadership is prepared to set aside their insider trading and self-preservation campaigns to deliver these fundamental core foundations to the American people and put THEM first.
This isn’t socialism as it is so often labelled. This is called ‘social responsibility’, which in this moment has been exiled to a place where moral integrity goes to die. If you were reading this on paper, the ink would be smudged by the tears running down my face right now, that it has come to this. I need you to truly understand the gravity of the moment, not just pay lip service to it. The cavalry is not coming, and I fear that without structural change, neither are the Democrats. So this might well come down to ‘We the people. ’
The red flags are waving for me because it seems some seven months after Democrats lost the election, we are only just hearing details of the outcome of their self-described ‘After Action Report’ on the campaign. This is coming at a time when Russell Vought is integrating Project Esther, the final pieces of the Heritage Foundation’s vision for the new American society.
As reported in an article by Reid J. Epstein and Shane Goldmacher in the New York Times on 19th July (once again, I have provided a complimentary link to view the article without the paywall):
The audit, which the committee is calling an “after-action review,” is expected to avoid the questions of whether former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. should have run for re-election in the first place, whether he should have exited the race earlier than he did and whether former Vice President Kamala Harris was the right choice to replace him, according to the people briefed on the process so far.
Nor is the review expected to revisit key decisions by the Harris campaign — like framing the election as a choice between democracy and fascism, and refraining from hitting back after an ad by Donald J. Trump memorably attacked Ms. Harris on transgender rights by suggesting that she was for “they/them” while Mr. Trump was “for you” — that have roiled Democrats in the months since Mr. Trump took back the White House.
It would be wrong to pre-judge what is currently being described as a draft. Still, if this is the direction of travel, it simply reinforces my belief that nothing has changed, and the relentless flood of begging emails will continue; they have learned nothing. While we’re talking about competence, I’m assuming Hunter Biden didn’t get the memo that the focus is currently on Trump? Jesus, why would he do the podcast rounds talking about the Democrats who moved against his dad? The man is just the gift that keeps on giving to the Republicans. I’m absolutely sure Democrats want to run a mile from questions of who knew what before the botched transition.
PROJECT ESTHER
I know my work can be verbose at times, but there are moments when a sound bite or a summary paragraph will not suffice. I hope you will give me some latitude and indulge me today, as this is important.
I’ve spoken many times about the meticulous planning Russell Vought and the Tech Bro cabal have put into where we are six months into Trump’s second term. There is little they have not accounted for, and now we are seeing the first signs that phase two of Project 2025, Project Esther, is being introduced to the American people under the guise of fighting anti semitism. The summary from the Heritage Foundation website states:
‘America’s virulently anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and anti-American “pro-Palestinian movement” is part of a global Hamas Support Network (HSN) that is trying to compel the U.S. government to abandon its long-standing support for Israel. Supported by activists and funders dedicated to the destruction of capitalism and democracy, the HSN benefits from the support and training of America’s overseas enemies and seeks to achieve its goals by taking advantage of our open society, corrupting our education system, leveraging the American media, coopting the federal government, and relying on the American Jewish community’s complacency. The National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism intends to enlist all willing and able partners in a coordinated effort to combat the scourge of antisemitism in the United States.’
You can read the full paper here, but let me tell you, this is the very foundation on which I believe the Administration will make the case that Democrats are part of their claimed Global Hamas Support Network and as such, the American people need to be protected from this threat. It is the most critical thing that you should pay attention to, because they have already begun to integrate it at the heart of government as part of placing their white Christian Nationalist God at the centre of government. I would strongly advise you to also read this paper from T’ruah, whose mission is:
T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights brings the Torah’s ideals of human dignity, equality, and justice to life by empowering rabbis and cantors to be moral voices and to lead Jewish communities in advancing democracy and human rights for all people in the United States, Canada, Israel, and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The paper clearly sets out:
Project Esther is a report published by the far-right Heritage Foundation in the fall of 2024. It offers a playbook for far-right elected officials to use fighting antisemitism as a smokescreen for promoting dangerous antidemocratic policies.
The report, which was created without input from representative Jewish community thinkers, claims to provide clear answers about who is to blame for rising antisemitism and what should be done about it. But instead of focusing on actual threats, Project Esther exploits Jews’ legitimate fears of rising antisemitism to advocate for curtailing free speech and targeting other marginalised groups.
The first seeds of integrating Project Esther began in late 2024, just three months after its publication:
“A bill was introduced in Congress that purported to be aimed at organisations that fund terror. The Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act (H.R. 9495 in the 118th Congress) would grant the Secretary of the Treasury sweeping discretion to designate U.S. nonprofits as "terrorist supporting organisations" and strip them of tax-exempt status, even without evidence of intentional support for terrorism or connection to actual violence. To many nonprofits, this would be a death sentence. H.R. 9495 is a perfect example of Project Esther’s strategy: taking a legitimate concern and using it to target civil society
At the end of January, Trump issued an executive order that mandates universities to monitor and report on the political activities of international students, effectively attempting to transform educational institutions into extensions of immigration enforcement. The White House talking points reveal more explicit intentions: cracking down on immigration, free expression, and civil society organisations. The talking points quote Trump saying, “To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice: come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you.”
I have extracted these important sections from the paper in the hope that they will encourage you to read the entire document. You will notice that the paper is specifically targeted at the Jewish community. I would ask you to bear in mind that it has far-reaching implications for expanding state control and dovetails into the expansion and massive investment in ICE and Trump’s new internal security apparatus. They are creating an environment in which this internal security apparatus can be used to detain anyone who dissents. This is not hyperbole; it is a clear and present danger.
What you need to understand is the depth of planning that has gone into this new vision for America. Project Esther was released on October 7th 2024. Every aspect of it, from its release date to the content, is a calculated move to gradually raise awareness and make the case for implementation as part of the evolution of the Trump agenda to reimagine American society. The clear objective is to create a permissive environment for political profiling. Read this to see my thoughts on the profiling technology.
I want to give you time to digest the two papers before I provide a more detailed follow-up post to explore their Project Esther objectives in greater depth, so I can add some further context to what, in my opinion, is the single biggest threat to state control from which there is no return. To be clear, I hate to be the one providing this critical information, because I know how dystopian it looks. I’m just not the guy prepared to roll a turd in glitter and pretend it doesn’t smell. It has given me sleepless nights researching it, and I’m only scratching the surface today.
Please give us some good news, Martin. I hear from the back of the room. Surprisingly, there is good news that arises from this. Please take a moment to reflect on what we discussed today. There are two aspects to consider.
The Democratic plan to rescue America seems to involve spending shit loads of your money and then coming up with a plan. Grassroots Democrats can put a stop to that by withholding donations until they present a clear, coherent strategy that is not focused on the same old same old and demonstrates a willingness to promote a true People First Democratic Agenda. I’ll go into more detail as the week progresses.
There has NEVER been a better time in modern American History to effect change. Polls prove that Trump is failing. The level of failure is set to increase as the impact of rising prices stemming from his tariff policies begins to take effect. Despite being in the White House, Trump’s credibility is unquestionably on the downslope. Putting that aside for a moment, the changes he’s making within government mean that if they lose power, Republicans are in BIG TROUBLE because they have created the template for powerful new government. A government holding the kind of power Democrats can wield for genuine change.
That’s all I got, I’m afraid. If you haven't yet read my piece on economic disengagement, you may want to consider my thoughts on a real solution to taking the war to corporate America. I cannot tell you how fired up I am right now, but you’ve probably worked that out for yourself.

I agree with you on all points. This has been a long time coming. The seeds were sewn in the mid 60’ s and kicked into high gear during the Reagan administration. These guys have been playing the long game and there has been plenty of warning. We need a short game and a long term solution to this attack on humanity. We can’t pretend that this is business as usual. Let’s not forget the environmental impact of this path. All this may mean nothing if we render the world uninhabitable for humans. There is no place to hide and no amount of money can save you. I don’t want to experience another trip to the dark ages. They were called that for a reason.
