What's taken this country so long to wake up. I thank you and others like you for sharing the truth, what once was the bastion of mainstream media. It's frustrating as struggling retired American to see the country I love burn to the ground through the greed of our so-called leaders. It's time to stop choosing the same people to run our country when all they do is enrich themselves and the hell with anyone else. The are all so out of tune with the average person that they don't even see it or they do and they just don't care.
I'm thankful for folks like you who are dedicated to bringing light to truth. We need more folks like you.. So thank you again. I have little hope for the future at this point and truly worry about what kind of lives my children, grandchildren and great granchildren are to inherit.

My total focus here is not really on Trump, he’s becoming an irrelevance. My worry is that Democrats will simply step in and deliver Republican lite. That’s the real battle that needs to be fought right now.

I am incandescent with rage at the nine members of the opposition (I am counting Chuck Schumer) who threw 90 percent of the U.S. to the fascists. In my mind, they are fascist cowards. You are correct that right-thinking people are the only force standing against tyranny. Very few such people are currently in the legislative branch. For my children and grandchildren, I will continue fighting. Knowing what you are doing helps me every day.

I’m with you 100%. But so many people are lazy and just listen or read main stream sources, which are now very poor! I have been a Bernie supporter for a long time and want to hear the outspoken progressive wing of Democrats. However, up til now, they have not been able to get needed support. They are labeled “socialists” and that’s a non-starter! I hope Mamdani is successful in New York and then maybe progressives will become more popular.

Two sides of the same coin. I'm retired also and had some life setbacks, necessitating a tight fixed income which I never dreamed would be me. However, if it becomes possible for me to contribute any amount in the future I will. We have got to fix this because neither party is getting it done. Thank you again!

I'm a database developer, also retired, but it sounds like your chops are far better than mine. I do have a lot of experience creating Crystal reports though. Once the database structure has been characterized I'd be happy to help with putting it out there in useful ways.
This new approach is what I have been searching for. I made a conscious decision to stop reading most the notifications that do not refer to content and just repetitive content and videos about how bad things are. There is a tremendous amount of information just on the house and senate. gov websites that the majority of the voting population are unaware of. People need facts on each elected official and in doing so will have some impact on how we should see politicians not just up for reelection but those running for the first time also.
Far too long, the citizens base their choice on ads run during an election cycle, that bares no evidence on who will honestly work for the people who voted them into office.
One thing I can't stress enough of, with facts in hand, people will pass this information around. The rants, emoji, memes and profanity in the comments solidarity bubble thrown into the internet abyss will stop. It has no useful action behind it. Just misery loves company.
Glad to hear it. This is about curating and scoring the information. The gov APIs mean you can tap into data streams for voting records donations etc, much more than that though, you can aggregate data to do much deeper political analytics. It’s about providing a one stop shot with no political agenda.
Just factual data to allow decisions to be made. Ballotopedia also has an API too and if more depth is required, polling data streams can be purchased.
There will be some research skills to source data sets. Would also be good to have people with web design skills, while I am a full stack developer, it’s about managing workload. I think it’s about gathering a list of those who want to help and then going from there.

I just started trying to put something like this together a couple of weeks ago with the help of AI, but I kind of hate using it because of all the horrible side effects (ecologically and politically), and also - it's SUPER slow, because I can't afford a paid subscription. I can recommend Christopher Armitage as an excellent writer and researcher. He's on here, don't know if he has time to help, but he's my go-to read every day because he knows politics and law and he's a great writer AND he tries to always give readers a "what you can do" at the end of his articles.

Nicely put Martin, unfortunately this country has not suffered enough yet, otherwise the population would have never voted for a sub species of a human that completely lacks values, class, and a moral compass. They did not only voted for donald the roach 1 time but 2 times!. A country has the governance it deserves. I am a liberal and libertarian, I love democracy, but for a democracy to be defended and protected you must improve it, update it, and guard it against those who are known to abuse power. Anyone that did not know who the roach was lives under a rock. But now it’s too late to cry for the spill. Now we face bigger issues than the roach, we have to face the reality that there is no political party in this country that will do right by the people and of chosen government model. Truth is we are all bound by the human condition, we all have the same capacity of sentiments, choices of good and bad, and the weak, lazy, ignorant, illiterate, and gullible citizens do not know how to vote simply because they are not interested in doing the hard work of getting to know the politician they will vote for. Because of it in order to rebuild, and save a country that is going in demise we have to establish the most critical and drastic change the country will ever experience. Time to leave a representative democracy because it has stopped working for several decades and the precedent being established by the roach will not go away. What we need is a Direct Democracy. Citizens need to learn or they need to be taught by decent honest politicians on the inner works. There will never be a perfect system but if we can refactor a Direct Democracy I believe this country will flourish and we can have peace, prosperity, justice, equality, and fairness for ALL. But politicians and the special interest will fight it with everything they have, reason why it has to be from the uniquely and most powerful force in the country- its citizens united collectively to demand it or force it because right now force must be fought with force. So why are you guys that have a platform do not start advocating and focusing on the changes that will become the only change that will deliver for all instead of trying to sell the same story with the same players. Have created a layout of how this can be implemented and improved but I need what I don’t have:
1-the skill set of the brightest political/humanity /economist minds
2-the funding
3-the platform
4-the complete set of economical KPI to prove to the people why the changes
5-the support of real intelligent people
6-etc
Every era brings an agent of change with vision of the future, and we are stuck in a vicious cycle with no end to achieve fulfillment. It is now or never.
I have the root cause of all our problems but will take complete unity and force to bring it to life because right now there are no defenders of democracy. There is no Supreme Court, no bipartisanship, no president, and no guardrails.
I admit my statistical skills are twenty years out of date, but if you could recommend recent training materials on the most relevant techniques I might be able to help you with some of your work.
