The false narrative sown by this regime has been so effective I think many have lost the ability to step back and take a breath to learn how to fight it.
I don’t buy the “ can’t comprehend “ point of view . I think they understand that the middle class is squeezed to the point of being blue in the face . They know the health care crisis is real because the costs of basic care are out of reach of the average family . They know the cost of food and gas are rising . They know the public education system is failing. They know middle class families can no longer afford to buy a home - the principle asset that builds security and wealth .
They Know .
But that is irrelevant to this current ideology. There is no “One for all and All for one “ . There is no desire to make other peoples lives better or easier. There is no goal to make the people healthier or smarter or better off than the prior generations. There is no empathy or humanity.
The current leadership is about self gratification, self enrichment, self promotion and preservation of status and wealth . When the US economy grew from regional … to national … to global …. The competition to the top of the ladder became exponentially harder. Competing to the top meant getting more wealth than the Russian mob oligarchs, getting more power than the Dictators with the iron fist like Kim Jong Un , Putin and the Saudi royals . So the race is about greed and power accumulation …. Not benevolence.
You can’t fix a problem if it isn’t your priority, your goal or your vision . And it’s quite clear in my POV that these are not the priorities for this administration…. But … they do KNOW .
I’m surprised you said the “90%” are just sitting there and doing nothing. Granted we don’t have political power in the way that the trump people do. But we’re not doing nothing. We’re resisting in multiple ways, everywhere at once. We’re electing progressive leaders. Boycotting. Marching. Calling and writing our electeds. Do not insult the story you tell with such cynicism.
There aren’t many other options for cancer except cut, burn or poison, otherwise it grows unchecked and kills the host.
