Just as the Insurrection was a 'tourist day out', we are now expected to believe the US won the war with Iran. It would be funny were it not so tragic.
You're wrong about him being back at odds with Iran, Martin--Cuba is next up. He needs a distraction, BADLY. Someone who can't fight back. He is not likely to forget the thorough paddling Iran just gave him. There will be plenty of bluster, of course, but...
And you are SOOOO right about dirty pool at the midterms. To borrow from Tolkien, "his every thought is bent on it." He needs an as-dirty-as-required win to preserve power and deflect criminal charges. At *whatever* cost--especially if it causes pain for us. And his pain, at the core, becomes ours. It will be Societal Chemotherapy.
This time stealing from The Call: "Our hands are covered blood red." God and the World have mercy, this is on us. Yes, indeed, it is.
You are so right, but hopefully most see 1/6 as a treasonous insurrection, and see the Iran war as illegal and extremely costly (both in terms of human casualties and the staggering taxpayer spend).
But to some extent I think American taxpayers have become inured to the insane expenditures. When you are bombarded daily with news about your lovely local billionaire [sarcasm] and now the paper trillionaire, and you have spent years watching your country's military industrial complex spend outrageously, somehow another $32 billion on this or that doesn't seem like so much. I mean, if there are several individuals with enough wealth to single-handedly fund free healthcare for millions, these numbers in the war just aren't that big. At least, I imagine some people think that way.
Plus the fact that we literally can barely conceive of what a billion really means.
But high gas prices, now that has got them angry. Maybe a few voters will desert the Repubs over that come November.
Although, Martin, you are right on: If the Dems had any sense they would be way better organized than they are, especially with voter registration.
He is wretched. The deal was farcical… he cares not a whit for anything but money and power, and the two are forever intersecting. If normal business plays out…we have at least 2-1/2 more years of his decaying mind and corrupt government to contemplate. His reach is, apparently, beyond any of our reasonable imaginations… Heaven preserve us…. Certainly no one seems to have a clue what to do about it all. The midterms are a gasping hope at best against his insanity and the actions that are sure to ensue.
I know sometimes all might seem lost and for all my brutal honesty I do believe good will prevail. My concern is more about the painful path back to reality - Martin
Just waiting patiently for Ol' 'Yahu to to screw any of it up by the obvious--Trump cannot speak for him, and 'Yahu isn't bound by Trump's trumped up "deal"-- that isn't.
It's all BS. From the start of our involvement to this very second.
It’s my pleasure Margie and thank you for the encouragement on the Garden project.
I’m having a skip (not sure how that translates across the pond) but a big garbage receptacle delivered tomorrow for all the garden waste I’ve created. It’s going to be a loooong weekend, but I’m excited to see off the heavy work, so I can zoom in on the detail - Martin
BTW: DJT can’t run. He’s lumbering away without apparent understanding of the wake of destruction. So despicable It was deeply disturbing and embarrassing to catch video of the G7 summit
I’m feeling embarrassed, horrified and afraid. Our President lies to Americans, allies and adversaries alike. He has no moral compass, everything is a contest with no rules. We elected him twice, we have no excuse.
😅😅😅Martin you are always a hoot 🦉 … the turd lives on and that glitter just brings it more attention ….but we all still know - ITS a STINKY OLD TURD 💩! Literally!
For Vance and Rubio and those other fellows in fufu skirts and Pom poms …. 😅😅😅…. Fools thinking somehow that they will be able to salvage their own reputations …. No fellas …. You are rolling with the turd … everyone knows when you play with 💩 you get some on you ….. he won’t be able to save your sorry asses .
But it is soooo embarrassing to see this whole shit show on parade …
EMBARRASSING. I truly understand if all of our allies are staying away from us…. Because the Americans put this guy into office - WTF … so we are all crazy idiots . Run run run …. 🏃 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏃🏽♂️🏃🏽♀️➡️🏃🏽♀️➡️🏃🏽♀️➡️🏃🏾♂️➡️
Martin, I have just sent the following communication to John Thune, Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate:
Senator Hickenlooper, I have just sent the following communication to John Thune:
Senator Thune, are you, at last, finally, embarrassed? Will you pull together your caucus and show the strength of character exhibited by Barry Goldwater, John Rhodes, Hugh Scott, Edward Gurney, and the great Howard Baker and Lowell Weicker in 1974? Richard Nixon made serious, illegal mistakes, but he did NOT raid the U.S. Treasury to line his own pockets. He did NOT oversee the federal debt ballooning well beyond the GDP, a travesty that is unsustainable. He did NOT physically destroy the White House and its once beautiful grounds. He did NOT establish a private army that is responsible already for more deaths than we even know about. He did NOT establish concentration camps on U.S. soil. His current successor has committed too many crimes to enumerate here, many of them well before one-third of voters chose him to lead this country to ruin and make it a global laughing stock. You have the belated opportunity to turn this ship around, haul the monster off to solitary confinement to await his arraignment, and encourage impeachment for the worst cabinet in U.S. history. Your legacy is currently questionable at best. Seize the opportunity to secure it and begin redeeming this country.
If there is something history has taught us, those of us who have read it and love history, is that pride, arrogance and ignorance have brought kingdoms, empires, countries to their knees.
The price Americans are paying for having re-elected this oath is incalculable. The damage that this administration of fanatics, imbeciles, greedy thugs has done is irreversible, and, sadly, some Democrats have contributed to it.
I insist that it is we, the citizens who have the responsibility to prevent further catastrophes to plague us and the world. But, 1 1/2 years into this presidency, will it still be possible?
Thank you so very much for sending us your perspective as candidly and honestly as usual and with the sense of humour and wit I really enjoy.
What an account and accounting of all the costs. What about all the multiple billions the $rump family have raked in since the second no consecutive inauguration?? Pay it back for all the egregious corruption and misadventures

Greg, I was only jesting, I must sharpen my sarcasm pencil ✏️
I agree, he won’t stop, he needs another soft target for sure and Cuba is definitely on his radar. - Martin
I was only jesting, as well! Did I “out-dry-humor” a Brit? 😉
What DECADES of HISTORY have shown us ALL...
trump has NO LOYALTY to ANYONE ELSE EVER!!
trump WILL take down EVERYONE around him...
AND WILL TRY to take America with him!!
WE MUST OVERWHELMINGLY...
VOTE 'EM ALL OUT!!!
You are so right, but hopefully most see 1/6 as a treasonous insurrection, and see the Iran war as illegal and extremely costly (both in terms of human casualties and the staggering taxpayer spend).
We can hope!

Midterms are a Gasping hope at best…how very true! If voters don’t show up in mass, our democracy dies in 2026. Our 250th year…how ironic.
I can’t imagine him lasting 2.5 more years, as he is fading FAST. The plan after his demise is what I’m concerned about.
Yep.

On the show Mythbusters they showed that you can in deed polish a turd. 😂
According to “MYTHBUSTER’S” you absolutley can! And it can be very shinny! 🤣😂🤣😂
BTW: DJT can’t run. He’s lumbering away without apparent understanding of the wake of destruction. So despicable It was deeply disturbing and embarrassing to catch video of the G7 summit
The degree of a turd's polish is in the eye of the beholder. Emotionally and psychologically fragile MAGA folks will surely find some polish.
Enjoy your garden! 🪴 🌸
