As we approach the November midterms it should be increasingly clear that to effect the transformative change the American people seem desperate for, can only be achieved through a power shift.
So much info … “This will hold” …. Very compelling information. But what is really astonishing is the claim that this was not just our most recent election cycle … but our system has been severely compromised for years . YEARS . And democrats are complicit ? Well who is surprised?
This timeline demonstrates the depth and degree of the damage to our election processes .
I hope they are wrong about stolen elections but I don’t want to be naive about the depth of the manipulation.
I think we are only now discovering the complex spider’s web of the interference with in our democracy and elections . It’s a very important story to tell…. Investigations must be conducted. We cannot save democracy if we cannot insure free and fair elections.
So much to process, but as is often the case, what we can learn from the past is amusing at best if we can't use it to choose better for the future, especially when as today we are in serious peril of losing freedoms generations fought for.
If Muskrat and Rump really stole 2024 from Kamala on behalf of the Epstein Class Billionaires and they intend to repeat the trick in 2026, we ARE in for an interesting quarter. Fasten your seat belts.
Martin, as usually right. Personally I believe that the first Bush2 election was rigged in Florida with his brother’s Jebb help, blackmailing Al Gore to not pursue legal action. The second one he won because of 9/11 event and his response, probably fairly. Bush wasn’t a bad man, just unfit for presidency, weak, and doing the bids of his pals, the old republicans, always avid of money, less interested in the country’s welfare.
Then Obama for eight years, clearly the will of the people, and the best presidency in decades. If he wasn’t stopped at every move by the POS of Mitch McConnell, Obama would have done much more for the people, and the country.
Trump’s elections were rigged and both Musk and him, recognized it in subtle terms in public. No doubt that they will try to stay in power another term, if not with Trump, who will be a legume by then, with one of the other imbeciles around him, plenty to choose.
The unique chance people have is to get out in overwhelming numbers and sweep up all the blue votes possible, too big to be rigged.
It is obvious that some democrats are not democrats anymore but in name, and they helped the looting, filling their own pockets. These traitors should be eliminated from any voting process, as soon as possible.
We have very little choice, and a mount of obstructions to pass but we are many, much more than the imbeciles, we can do it if we are organized and decided.
America could eradicate poverty, could have done it many years ago, just by spending everything inside the country and being a real democracy. The benefit would outweigh all the welfare expenses they cry about now, more people would be educated, more increased wages, healthier as a consequence of being well fed and taken care of, thus, Democracy in the real sense. It is not hard, it is common sense, and it means to really love this country!
Maybe the next generations will study what Greeks did when they invented the Concept of Democracy, and why. It is not rocket science, as you say, Martin, it is common sense.
The Greeks understood, after years of study, that if the whole community has a better life, the state has less problem, less expenses, more peace and prosperity. They did not invent socialism, they invented democracy, people having a say to their own lives, participating in decisions made for them. By the way, voting is mandatory in Greece till today, there is no punishment but a payment if you ask papers from the state, which otherwise are free. No need for a punishment because all the citizens are proud to vote, being a Greek citizen is an honor, and a privilege.
America is far away from that concept, people are aware of the dishonesty, and the manipulations of those in power. It is not a democracy anymore, if it ever was, sadly, it is Shameful.
The following excerpt is from a Washington Post Op-ed from 2020 regarding the Pandemic, but the lessons apply perfectly to opposing the current fascist takeover.
“Sacrifice is not easy and natural, but it can happen. And yet, the language of sacrifice faded in the aftermath of a more popular, more total and more demanding conflict for Americans. Following World War II, the “good war,” politicians, business leaders, unions and many Americans embraced the idea that mass consumption would drive economic prosperity. Even in the midst of the burgeoning Cold War, such a notion supplanted more collectivist notions of community and sacrifice, in part because those were increasingly stigmatized as “socialist” or “communist.” This offered an individualist reaffirmation of the nation’s democratic values and became central to American identity. Mass consumption and participation in the economy, not sacrifice, increasingly came to signal one’s patriotism.
The last military draft in the United States ended in 1973, and since then, service and sacrifice have been voluntary and borne unevenly. The fractures of national unity that came at the end of the Vietnam War and the distrust of government in the wake of Watergate helped to propel these changes. In their wake, collective sacrifice has been extolled by politicians but never urged, much less required. Instead, market logics and consumer-citizenship has been the default setting for how to practice engaged models of citizenship.
Shopping, traveling and showing confidence in the economy have come to define American citizenship and even responses to collective existential threats such as terrorism and emergencies, including deadly viral outbreaks.
The challenges the nation now faces are dire and require sacrifice, not consumption. The problem is that Americans have been actively discouraged by their leaders from making sacrifices in support of larger efforts — including wars, fossil fuel consumption, global warming, the Great Recession and the current pandemic. Confronting the looming public health, economic and climate challenges today requires a wholesale change in how citizens and the state conceive and construct a rhetoric as well as a practice of collective sacrifice.”

Power is not limited to monetary constraints. Knowledge, truth, unity and determination is by far more important. Let’s become more cohesive so as not to be distracted, divided or defeated going forward as it is proven to ultimately result in subjugation of the civil which is not US at our best. Even after we make our powerful statement concerning midterm representation in blue that should only be a part of our improved national agenda. We must not continue to sabotage ourselves nor our children to be mismanaged by the immoral among US.
What exists comes from a system still rooted in rugged individualism that has gotten us our oligarchs as its big successes. What we need is a system rooted in mutuality, where a cooperative humanity would be creating a world that works for all. Either we operate from that understanding, to give us our best chance to survive let alone thrive, or we go over the cliff we are headed for that will end civilization as we know it.

Sacrifice is not easy

Great article. Well reasoned and,I believe, accurate. Thank you!
Thank you, I don’t do misinformation - Martin
