An Independent Commission of Inquiry has now declared the Gaza conflict 'The Palestinian Genocide'

I’m sharing this for one reason and one reason alone: it needs to be entered into the historical record. Even if you don’t listen to the clip, please read on.

In an age where attention spans are limited to soundbite narratives, few are prepared to invest the time to listen to this detailed report by the Independent Commission of Inquiry, read by Chris Gunness, former chief spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. I have posted it here because history demands it be heard. I would plead with you to take the time to listen to the uncomfortable, unvarnished truth about what has been allowed to happen on our watch by our governments with almost total impunity.

The Gaza conflict now officially has a name, ‘THE PALESTINIAN GENOCIDE’. We can sit here all day and have a ping-pong discussion about whataboutism, but that’s become a common tactic to distract from the abominable truth. I have linked the report here

Myself and a likeminded group of others have long called this a genocide, but even after the International Criminal Court indicted Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes, Western governments, along with many in the media chose to look the other way as tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians were murdered at the hands of a government seeking unparalleled retribution for a terrorist war crime against their own citizens.

Few would argue that the October 7th 2023, attack was anything other than a barbaric act of terrorism and war crime against innocent Israelis, many of whom were sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. However, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will ever excuse the Israeli response supported by Western governments to embark upon a genocidal attempt to erase Palestinians from Gaza, using AI-driven indiscriminate targeting.

In a piece by Yuval Abraham from +972 Magazine on August 21st 2025, he noted:

Data from an internal Israeli intelligence database indicates that at least 83 percent of Palestinians killed in Israel’s onslaught on Gaza were civilians

He goes on to note:

Figures obtained from the classified database — which records the deaths of militants from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) — contradict by a huge margin the public statements of Israeli army and government officials throughout the war.

Tragically, this is nothing unexpected

Israel’s bombardment of Gaza has killed civilians at a rate with few parallels in modern warfare. For context, he goes on:

The Israeli army confirmed the existence of the database, which is managed by the Military Intelligence Directorate (known by the Hebrew acronym “Aman”). Multiple intelligence sources familiar with the database said the army views it as the only authoritative tally of militant casualty figures. In the words of one of them: “There’s no other place to check.”

The intention from the very outset was to embark on a campaign that would see the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza and the opening gambit of a campaign to deliver the long-held ambition of a greater Israel masquerading as an act of self-defence.

There is little doubt that this has been a genocidal, vengeful act of retribution that will remain a stain on the Israeli people, that can never be erased.

The Iran War and the Israeli incursion into Southern Lebanon are all part of a carefully crafted plan of action that Benjamin Netanyahu has long dreamed of, but has never been able to convince an American president to support until a useful idiot called Trump came along.

I know, as do those of us who were attempting to point out what was happening, this has been a long, lonely road to get people to listen to the uncomfortable truth few were prepared to accept. While we’re not there yet, far more people are awake to the truth, even though there remains a sense of reluctance for many to admit they were wrong.

Truth never shines brighter than when the impact shifts from a faraway place to one’s doorstep, where the impact directly affects those who choose to turn away until the consequences hit them at the grocery store or the petrol pump. Or when it’s their son or daughter who is sent to fight an illegal war justified once again by lies and deceit.

This is a conflict, where the pieces of a dead Palestinian mother’s child were carried by her father in a carrier bag to the hospital, in search of a futile dream of making his little girl whole again. The same conflict where an American soldier’s mother grieves over the unidentifiable remains of her dead son, sent to war on yet another lie. A man sent to fight by a president who simply saw him as acceptable collateral damage in his quest for self-enrichment. Both mothers become angry beneficiaries of a madman's ambitions.

The same president who campaigned as a ‘no more wars’ president has now become drunk on the power and wealth that he believes endless conflicts can deliver, as he takes America into an ‘end of days scenario’ where the only one left standing is China.

We are witnessing a slow-motion economic and geopolitical car crash in real time, as we prepare for what seems to be an inevitable boots-on-the-ground engagement with an insurgent army numbering a million. This is a level of arrogance only fools display, as they are prepare to risk the slaughter of Americans in a vain attempt to save face.

Trump is a five-time draft dodging president attempting to win an unwinnable war he claims to have already won; it is lunacy on steroids. If you can make that make sense, can I respectfully suggest you seek some psychiatric help?
