The government is now fast tracking deportations to third world countries per Supreme Court and it's a sin ethically morally and shows the disregard for not only for the Constitution but human life plus proving the racism and twisted evil the GOP continues to demonstrate daily on a relentless basis.

In other words, the truth can be hard to swallow even though it’s right in front for both Americans and Brits. I look forward to part two.

Thank you Martin, I could have written all that myself, and meant it, but not as eloquently. We truly live in challenging times: global warming, the erosion of truth, our inability to sensibly manage AI, frustration with democracy, the rise of the billionaire oligarchs, and a growing sense of doom.

Yet every day I see new wonders of knowledge or technology. We still have so much potential, but we seem programmed to undermine that potential.

It does not have to be this way but it will require a supreme effort from those who both see and care. You are one such. Thank you for your fight.

It’s so refreshing to read what you write. I am so glad I’m not the only one who thinks the way you do, though I lack the talent to put it so eloquently.

As insulting, pedantic, crazy as it may sound to some of your readers, what you say is quite true. Unfortunately, it is arrogance and misplaced pride what has brought the United States to the horrific situation it finds itself in now. It is too, as you say, greed, which usually brings empires, countries and their leaders down.

I am not sure what’s going to happen in November in spite of what all the independent media says, but unless we replace the minority leader of the Democrat party, unless we are able to promote and demand fundamental reform in the way politics is done in the United States, the one thing that might be gained out of the elections is that, hopefully, Republicans will definitely lose. Will the Democrats have the courage, the stamina, the integrity to do their civic duty? I can’t be sure of that. I hope that the ones who have been so fierce when speaking out against Trump, that they will show the honesty and the same ferocity to make sure these clowns who have brought this country to its knees will be accounted for and punished according to their crimes.

Thank you once again for telling it like it is. I do respect you for it and I wish more people were as candid. True, “one swallow Summer does not make”; but your perseverance will reach many who will later value your great contribution to this war against division, power hunger, indolence and evil which, altogether, appear to render people apathetic.

Spot on, Martin. "Trump will have lost, but Democrats won't have won" perfectly captures the complacency of establishment politics right now. Transatlantic perspectives like yours are essential because isolationist policies and democratic decay never stay confined within national borders. Looking forward to seeing how the Truth Matters Project plans to use AI tools to reshape messaging on the ground.

Really fascinating project. I only drink coffee IRL with people though. Central Line is really busy this week. Look forward to the launch. 👍🏻🙏🏻

Why don’t people understand that we’re all part of a global community? We’re all more connected than ever, with our shared woes, concerns and our shared reliance on one another. Until humans embrace THAT, I fear we’ll be stuck on this loop. If it’s not one country, it’s another.

Praying for a blue tsunami in the meantime.

“ IN A GREED-FUELED WORLD, where everyday people become acceptable collateral damage in pursuit of power and wealth.” 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.

Truer words have not been spoken .

Have we - as a species - always been greedy ? Have we always been consumed by the seduction of power ? Have we always been ready to step on others on the ladder to success ? Or …. Has the definition of success and a “ happy life “changed ? Has success been corrupted to now mean bigger houses, more cars and excess electronics to give us that competitive edge ? Today parents hire special tutors to coach their child how to take the SATs ( college entrance exam ) so Johnny has a competitive advantage over those who are less practiced and privileged.

Getting into an Ivy League U is a measure of your success. Yet the latest headlines from Cornell - that “ bad boy behavior “ of those exact same kids seems to be indicative of success and privilege gone wrong …. Extremely wrong . Was this young girl who was drugged and repeatedly raped by frat boys just “ collateral damage? “ We are witnessing the Epstein class in positions of authority and power …. With great Republican resistance to holding these powerful men accountable. This is not simply greed in pursuit of power and wealth … this is power gone awry . This is an attitude of supremacy. Untouchable . Take what you want with no regard for the impact to others . This lack of empathy and compassion for self gratification is a loss of humanity. And that …. That loss is indicative of a far greater failure.

We are not just experiencing greed … we are in the midst of a moral collapse.

The ‘Dems have no Message’, (other than ‘We’re not Trump’) so far as I’ve read-seen,

… is just a form of hectoring. I know there are many excellent Dems out there who have been winning their seats in Congress … did they have nothing pertinent to say in order to motivate ?

And on what platform - not self-censoring to Trump — is anything of import that they DO say, going to get the attn it deserves?

Who, Where, Why, What, When … will Dems be considered to ‘be heard’ if they DO make some ‘good trouble’/ noise?

Who & Where are you tracking in order to establish that ‘They have no message’? Isn’t it obvious all the cleaning-up they’re going to have to do after Trump’s reign ends, and aren’t all Dems fighting that reign DAILY, in the legislature (when Johnson isn’t shutting it down for fear of exposure), in the Courts & in their districts?

You want a catchy one-liner like Trump’s “Make America Great Again”?

— let’s hear a few suggestions perhaps.

“UNDO Trumpism before Trumpism Undoes US!” is my contribution.
