Very good summary of the role of toxic capitalism. Millionaires on up get tax breaks, instead of paying a fair share of their bounty; non-millionaires sink lower into poverty as our nation's wealth, resources, and labor are controlled by the top 5% in income. It is the wealthiest peoples' spending that is buoying up a falsely secure economy. The stock market is the wealthy class's casino. When it all comes crashing down, as plundering usually does, the richest 5% will be untouched. The rest of us suffer in a scheme designed to keep us suffering. This must not be maintained, if We the People ever want to live in liberty and security.

Cruelty and pain are how cult leaders and dictators force their victims into submission.

Really good article summing up the corruption and narcissism of the regime and their billionaire buddies. I too believe we need to cut off the cash flow and bring the economy to a standstill. Now before it happens because of this regime's criminal actions. Maybe don't quit your job but we all need to stop buying stuff, stop buying anything you really don't need. I read that something like 70% of the US economy depends on consumer spending.. We can take control of this destruction of the US by just not spending our hard earned dollars.

I concur Tammy. My concern is not about people quitting their job, but rather putting themselves in a position where an employer can fire them. This is about smart campaigning, not irresponsible requests to strike.

Trump said to his Son-in-Law when they asked him for money to

help with there sons operation. "Let him die and move to Florida"

And yet today another MAGA worshiper righteously proclaimed that it is all the Democrats fault. 🤔

It’s how they roll.

"The bottom line is that people are going to die at the altar of performative politics, and Trump does not give a damn."

Hundreds of thousands of us died in his Pefrectly Performative Pandemic and he still has the effrontery to muse on whether he's gonna "make it into heaven". 🙉

I don’t know how these people can look in the mirror and go into a church or read the Bible without the knowledge that they are depriving so many people of food. Have they no conscience or shame?

Truth Matters's avatar

I’m afraid the church thing is like everything else performative.
