The debt and the interest on it are crippling this country and the Trump government is spending money in unbelievable rates for the ICE army and the real military! Unless the tax rates are changed to collect the fair share of the billionaires, this country is going to go out of business!

We've endured unpredictable and unexpected economic threats from Trump over the past year, but I think it is safe to say this exceeds all of them, and takes all of Europe into a surreal and utterly dangerous territory.
If taken at face value, it is a form of economic war being levied by the White House on its closest allies. Allies that go back over 80 years. His decision to harm his allies at incredibly short notice and for a cause that essentially could break up Nato and the western alliance is without precedent it risks every conceivable chance of peace. Is it legal even ? Is anything he does legal I’m sure his Ice gestapo isn’t ! Our collective worries should be at breaking point now as America appears poised for civil war and they seem powerless to stop this juggernaut of world destruction from happening.

Reading it this morning has left me more afraid than ever, because you’ve stated our situation so clearly, and we’re being pushed into some very difficult & dangerous times, so we awaken every day wondering, “What will that insane dolt in the WH do to cause more mayhem and misery today?”. With no accountability for ICE, the murder of Reneé Good was like the go-ahead for any ICE to take it a step further.
By the way, Martin, have you heard of Congress and majority of the house seeking to remove Trump from office? This is what’s being stated on some news podcasts. We’ve heard it from two separate avenues, but they’re both saying the same thing, so we’re really wondering if this is what’s going on in DC. Please let me know if you hear anything valid, thanks Martin. Keep us going with your Clear set visions of what’s going on here in the USA.
I’ve seen the same posts on Substack also about the GOP giving trump an ultimatum. I call, Bullshit. I think it is purposely posted in a Liberal Feed to throw a wrench in the momentum of exposing trump. My new mantra, “ if Martin doesn’t post it, I don’t buy it”.
Great article as always. I think the economic reality is a foggy haze to most Americans. Numbers are so big and so devastating that most can not comprehend the magnitude of debt . Plus the lack of critical thinking is a true handicap to the majority of citizens . Our educational system has failed … as a former teacher I was witness to this slow death . In the US … funding has been undermined by “ voucher “ programs which steal from the public tax funds and put the money in the hands of private sector schools. My classroom was over crowded and under supplied . My salary after 5 years of teaching was less than my second career as a flight attendant working 80 hours flight time per month . ( and no degree was required - yet teaching required continued college education( self funded ) for maintaining your teaching certification) most teachers need a second / summer job to maintain their own lifestyle . The USA does not value free public education for ALL . Period . End of story . Hence we have uneducated , unengaged voters and Low voter turnout . If we lose our democracy… it is because we have the wrong priorities and wrong leadership. Dumb people make uninformed decisions and can be swayed by propaganda being spewed on our “ prime time news channel “ . Lies are the norm … repeated lies have enormous power . And no one wants to use their brain to research what FOX news says … they follow blindly and believe the crap . I’ve talked to taxi drivers in Europe who know more about world events than some college grads in the USA . This is truly sad .
My hope is that the economic hardships coming soon to your community will anger people enough to awaken them to reality . This administration has no concern for those who supported him - none . The grift is about stealing as much $$$ and as fast as possible . The shrinking middle class and growing economic disparity is the only thing that will make people mad enough to rise up . The federal minimum wage is $7.50 in many poverty stricken states. Who cares ? No one in government or it would change . Who cares about illiteracy? Actually this admin likes to keep people stupid - easier to manipulate them so they ban books and promote the voucher type system . I feel my blood pressure rising so I must stop ranting . I am so frustrated and exhausted by what I am witnessing today. Where is my Prozac ? Have a nice weekend .
