Trump now faces an asymmetric conflict for which there is no quick fix. He's bet his presidency, the future of the Republican Party and the US economy on the wet dreams of an indicted war criminal.
Another Cuba like move. Going for Zambia in the cruelty leverage grift: "The Trump administration is considering withholding HIV treatment, tuberculosis and malaria medications from Zambia in order to force the country to open its mines to U.S. companies. That’s according to a leaked State Department memo obtained by The New York Times."
Such utterly sick & depraved behavior at the top levels of US gov't, but human lives are sooooo in the way of MONEY!
Of all the reasons given for the Iran attack, Revenge should be at the top of the list. Revenge for their attempt to assassinate him.
Trump warns he left instructions to ‘obliterate’ Iran if he is assassinated.
From The Hill, 02/24/25
“When questioned about Iran and proxies threatening to assassinate him, Trump said the U.S. adversary would be destroyed if that were to happen.
“They haven’t done that and that would be a terrible thing for them to do. Not because of me— if they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end. I’ve left instructions, if they do it, they get obliterated, there won’t be anything left. And, they shouldn’t be able to do it,” the president said.
The Justice Department in November revealed an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Trump during his campaign for the White House this fall. An unsealed criminal complaint revealed that Farhad Shakeri, 51, who is charged with murder-for-hire, allegedly told FBI agents an Iranian official tasked him with focusing on assassinating Trump.”
From The Peaceful Solution
So His Royal Heinous wages war on Iran as part of his Revenge Tour, using the U.S. military as his own private army, killing thousands of innocent people, including our own soldiers, with the American public footing the bill.
He finally became aware that his orders would not be carried out after his death, and if Iran was to be obliterated it would have to be now.
All to satisfy his fragile ego. He is so pathetic. As are we as a nation, for allowing him to continue his atrocities.
We, the people, still have the power of the purse. No one can control our spending, or lack of spending. As all else fails, we can go on a spending strike until the business community stops supporting HRH and the politicians who enable him.
The problem is organizing sufficient numbers to engage in something fairly complex:
— personal spending … already a complex issue for many.
I also suspect that Trump’s rationale for war here was complex - including feeling that he was ‘on a roll’ after his ‘success’ in 🔹Venezuela & absconding with their oil money,
— plus likelihood of 🔻Netanyahoo urging him on for various nefarious reasons.
Trump is a greedy war criminal. He would not be doing this if his wealthy business partners in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar didn't urge him on as well.
Many ppl that still believe in hate & bigotry are turning against him. That speaks volumes as to why the new voting laws they want are DANGEROUS. I have 5 forms of ID. Still in state I was born/raised in. Voted since any election from 88 on. But now I have to prove who I am more? Watch, passports will be needed in too little time to get them & many CANT GET where theyre created or AFFORD them.
Thank you - wonderfully written. Until we take power away from the Republican Lockstep Crew making all Trump's whims come true, we can expect more of the same.
The behavior of Trump and his top officials becomes more erratic and embarrassing with each passing day as they flounder aimlessly with no clear mission objective for their illegal war of choice.
Now they are desperate for someone else to swoop in and save them from the disastrous economic effects of Iran closing the straight of Hormuz.
Trump is now publicly complaining about the other Nato countries not "Jumping at the chance to help" with reopening the straight.
He is such an embarrassment. Literally almost anyone else would be better.
Never think 'It couldn't possibly get any worse than this'. His replacement will be JD Vance, or maybe Nick Fuentes or Tucker Carlson. Consider that for a moment.
Believe me when this is over America will be faced with an economic wasteland, anyone associated with this regime agenda be toxic. So no I don’t worry about those mentioned here.
This war will prove to be Trumps biggest mistake to date - as people generally do not support it . The fact that our sons and daughters will die to defend Israeli interests is not palpable to anyone . The cost of this war will bankrupt our children’s children . There was no immediate threat of a nuclear capability - propaganda used again by our government to engage in some bullshit conflict . War crimes happening daily by Israel and the US . NATO alliances have fractured , United Nations has been undermined. Putin is helping Iran - and Trump is rewarding him by lifting oil sanctions . Israel is actively pursuing a land grab in Lebanon while everyone is watching Iran . Lots of false flag attacks by Israel to the other neighbor states . There are no positive outcomes . This will not erase the Epstein story, Trump will continue to escalate the war to avoid impeachment and block the elections . Oil and fertilizer shortages are going to destroy our economy. Cuba is being starved to death . This chaos will not end until Trump is removed …. And so far Republicans seem complacent and complicit. It’s like trying to stop a freight train in 100 yards …. I am not hopeful for the future.
You've stated the correct position, indirectly, but totaly on point: that the US Military Leadership is at the center of our present political situation with our attacks ono Iran; -- with the present Militqry Brass sitting on the hill - watching - after commanding that another "Charge of the Light Brigade" take place - watchihg as our enelisted mand and women - and others "junior" to them - are killed.
This "Charge" is at the command of one Donald Trump p -- while the last Wars are on the Bush famiy - another Republican Party stalwart.
See the direct line.
I always believed that the US Militqry Leadership had their personal honor in mind when they were "commanded" by a President - to prepare a War Plan.
But no longer.
They visably only care about one thing - "the plan".
And if "other people", i.e., enlisted people and Junior Officers get killed - that's the cost to those that were duty bound to follow "their orders".
IF you rally want to effect an end to this -- you've already identified the target.
The reswt is up to you as to wheter of not you do anythig about it -- because without the US Militiary Leadership blindly and illegally following the commands of Trump and Hegseth - this would end really quick.
Finally someone has hit on a subject that has been bothering me for over a decade. Conflict displacement. Where should all these helpless fleeing people go, after their homelands have been flattened by war? They have no food. No money or expertise for reconstruction. They need safety and shelter. The same forces complicit in the destruction of their way of life, insists they cannot seek refuge in the riches of their countries. They are meant to starve to death, out of sight of the perpetrators. Where did humanity go?
We should have learned in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and any country that handed us our hats as we left in defeat. The local rebels are always difficult to conquer, they know the land and understand the weather and people.
I've had to take a short break from staying informed last week. I've been screaming for people to wake tf up, too. Our representatives in DC must be making a lot of money from all the lawlessness by scump
This read pretty much summed it up for me

Trump : the ideal, easily-suggestible idiot.
Trump is a greedy war criminal. He would not be doing this if his wealthy business partners in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar didn't urge him on as well.
Agreed
Do you also suggest that they didn’t foresee the possibility of themselves being targeted in retaliation by Iran?
And isn’t Israel a much likelier instigator ‘urging him as well’ here?
— didn’t Netanyahoo visit him shortly before these attacks?
This content is so good…..kudos
Cheers Nick, appreciate it- Martin

Wouldn't doubt you're right but surely the question is: how much more damage can they inflict before 2028?
You are correct and I have thoughts on that too which I’ll be sharing in my article today.
Excellent piece, Martin. Let's share widely.
