β€œThe confirmation of Todd Blanche only serves to emphasise the danger, as there is clearly nothing that the most senior law officer in the country will not do for Trump.” Truth Matters

Never forget, the Senate Republicans knew this and they voted to confirm Blanche. They are complicit! Hold them accountable! Don't let them off the hook in public! Never let them live it down! Vote them out!

The current administration is a rabid dog of corruption. Times are getting uglier before they will get better.

More and more the last lines of resistance and rule of law have become the judges. They are also under threats and need to be protected from these attacks. I hope they will be supplied with more security from FBI and local law enforcement.

Just know there are corrupt thugs on both sides. Look at fetterman. Many times to Israel

That does nothing to diminish the corruption, dishonesty, idiocy, nepotism and downright awfulness of the Trump regime. Whataboutism is simply an attempt to distract.

I sincerely hope they pressure-hosed the fuck out of that catering truck – not nice to be served a meal at 10 000 feet with a lingering aftertaste of full adult diaper.

Don’t you people understand!!! Trump will drop a nuclear bomb everywhere in this country rather than lose!

Yes, of course, in multiple ways. Muskrat doctoring results, Media lying about results, Unidentified ICE Thugs blocking entry to voting places, Proud Boys inciting Insurrections funded by Todd Blanche deflected Taxpayer money.

You can bet there will be six other ways and the Jackyls will be making money on the Polymarket at the same time, plus insider trading on the stock market, All Dwarfed by the bribes received be crypto currency.

Not only will the bastard keep control of Congress, he will make another $2.7Billiion

Desperate people take desperate measures. 🍊rump is up against a wall …. Stuck between a rock and a hard spot … not many moves left .

I totally agree that he will not accept defeat peacefully…. He will act to declare Marshall law under the insurrection act or by any other means - within the law or outside the law . He really doesn’t care because he always pushes beyond the bounds of the law and dares someone to take a legal challenge against him. The courts are slow … and that’s the point of his gamesmanship. He’s done it all his life . So buckle up , vote early, don’t be intimidated at the polling places and report any irregularities or anything that is suspect .

If we don’t step up now , the options to shut down this coup are limited . Democracy requires the voice of the people being heard… and let’s face it … the democratic leadership has proven to be conflicted and confused . They are weak and complicit. They have not shown the American people how to stand up against corruption. Jeffries and Schumer have been ass kissing AIPAC and special interests forever . Time to flush the toilet and get these turds out of Congress ….. swish . … gurgle gurgle …. Drain the swamp .

The Peaceful Solution-Part 1

How much do you want to stop His Royal Heinous and the fascist takeover of the country?

Enough that you’re willing to make a small sacrifice? Like altering your spending habits for a month or two or three? That could be all it would take to get the attention of the oligarchs (formerly known as The Robber Barons in the first Gilded Age, also The Fat Cats, The Greedy Bastards).

A brief demonstration of We, the People’s, power of the purse could persuade them to quit supporting HRH and the politicians who enable him.

We quit spending, except on essentials, businesses lose money, stock market goes down, Greedy Bastards pay attention to our demands.

Greedy Bastards own most of the politicians of both major parties. GBs start losing money, tell politicians to change course and do what We, the People want.

We are running out of peaceful options. The legislature and Supreme Court are controlled by HRH. He controls the executive branch, including the Military, Justice Department, FBI, ICE, the IRS. He controls all levers of power.

We, the people, still have the power of the purse. No one can control our spending, or lack of spending. When all else fails we can go on a spending strike until the business community stops supporting HRH and the politicians who enable him.

Economic warfare is the only thing the oligarchs, the business community will understand and act on. Call it a Surreptitious General Strike (Quiet Quitting). Go to work, do as little as possible. Stop spending money except on essentials. Quit feeding the corporate beast that supports the HRH.

Stop participating. Nearly 70% of the U.S. economy is driven by consumer spending. All of us. Hobble the economy and the stock market. Mahatma Gandhi drove the British from India by peaceful civil disobedience and economic disruption. We can stop the fascist takeover inΒ  the same way.

We can keep rehashing past and present atrocities until our access to the internet is taken away by the regime, or we can DO something!

Please: Resist. Stop cooperating. Stop spending. Stop the fascist takeover.

Will Trump Seize the Election?

From The Hill, August 11, 2026

β€œTrump on declaring national security emergency for elections: β€˜Stranger things have happened’

President Trump on Tuesday left the door open to declaring a national security emergency and federalizing control over the November midterms.”

From The Guardian, January 23, 2026

Democrats are campaigning as if the 2026 election will be fair. That’s a mistake

Austin Sarat

The following are excerpts from this article:

In a 16 January podcast interview, Robert Kagan, a historian and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, explained why this is a mistake.

Because of Donald Trump’s desire and need for complete domination, he cannot tolerate and will not allow a Republican defeat at the polls.

As Robert Kagan put it: β€œThere’s no chance in the world that Donald Trump is going to allow himself to lose in the 2026 elections, because that would be the end of his ability to wield total power. Unless they got up on the rooftop and said: β€˜We are going to subvert the 2026 election,’ they could not be more obvious about what their intention is.”

β€œLast week, during an Oval Office interview with Reuters, Donald Trump touted his accomplishments and suggested that they were so great that β€œwe shouldn’t even have an election” in November. Not surprisingly, that comment made headlines.

But it is at best a distraction from the real threat: the United States will have elections this year, but they will not be free and fair.

Far more important than his musings about calling off the midterms was what the president told the New York Times in another Oval Office interview. As the Times noted, he said that β€œhe regretted not ordering the National Guard to seize voting machines in swing states after his loss in the 2020 election.”

As the Times observed, β€œMr. Trump’s expression of regret … was ... a warning sign that he had not given up on the idea that voting machines were dangerous or that they could be seized in an effort to curb fraud.” We should take that warning seriously.

So far, the leaders of the Democratic party have not. They have focused on mobilizing to compete successfully in November, but have done little to ensure the election is not rigged through executive action, intimidation or interference with vote counting.

At the end of the day, the president may be attracted to the idea of rigging the 2026 election not just out of a fear that he will not be able to work his will but because, as scholars suggest, electoral manipulation is a signal to critical audiences (including β€œbureaucracy, potential defectors within the elite, or powerful stakeholders within civil society”) of his β€œstrengthβ€œ and β€œinvincibility”.

Whatever Trump’s motivations, Democrats are making a mistake by underestimating the likelihood that, for all the artful campaigning and the many unpopular things they can pin on Republicans, none of that will matter. They, and all the rest of us, must mobilize to avoid that result.

We have no time to waste.”

But people won't stop spending. People didn't even cancel amazon and paramount. We are a country of idiots and morally bankrupt.

Max's avatar

You are right. The mid-terms will not fix it. So then what are the "majority" going to do? Bend the knee to the consolidated dictatorship? I suspect that is what will happen.

The Peaceful Solution-Plan B's avatar

260 million Americans did not vote for His Royal Heinous.

Max's avatar

Not voting was exactly what allowed him in!

Emma's avatar

But they keep spending with problem companies. Not voting for trump is not the bar we should set.

Sarcasmninja's avatar

The November midterms will be a blitzkreig of illegality, criminality and outrage. America had better be prepared for it.

We have one assignment: VOTE as if your way of life and possibly your actual LIFE depends on it. Encourage others to vote as well. Volunteer to be an election observer. That is my plan. Time to take a more active role. Protests and spending boycotts have clearly not been massive enough. VOTE.
