You need to organize a national general strike. It’s not violence you all just stay home . There was a
Movement two years ago, it fizzled out because people didn’t see how serious this was going to become. It’s time. Past time. But it can be done under cover so they don’t see it coming. This is it. There are enough people who will step up to help those who can’t afford to miss work. You can feed each other and do the things to be sure everyone is ok while you strike. Shut it ALL down!

I am exhausted by outrage and anger. It has become part of my body. I feel it in my chest and gut. I am 72 and in poor health. Some days fear takes over as I am sure I will lose my social security and Medicaid at some point if this dirty amoral regime is not stopped soon. People here are counting on the midterms. They will be rigged and voters will be eliminated by challenges, gerrymandering, and confusing rules about voter eligibility. We cannot sit back and count on tossing Republicans out. They are determined to hold on to their power to aid in this war on democracy, education, science, critical thinking, and decency. Republicans want the power and money. They also know their constituents for the most part are angry and disillusioned by the bullshit they were handed by the cons. They won't even face their constituents in person any longer. So these all the things that live in my chest and gut. I have to fight giving into defeat everyday. But we must not give into feeling hopeless. We have to fight this cruelty and disgusting swing to fascism. We must resist.
We must resist. But the damage of the concentration of wealth (our version of means of production) in the hands of a few, has taken away the freedom of most to live a safe and secure life free of the want of basic needs. The right has grasped the word freedom and replaced it with the Hobbesian world of greed and power. So resist as we must. Acknowledge that we are working together (perhaps we should all wear black arm bands of mourning, so we know we are not alone) and plan a path to a more equitable distribution for all, so all can live with the freedom from want of life’s necessities. The rich can still have their pleasure yacht, but none should be without food, shelter, health care or the company of others
There is so much I don't know about your politics and what is driving this turn to the right that actually is hurting the very people voting for it. They don't know their history and they are afraid of the "other." It seems to be a job of helping people to be informed, of history, of economics, of the humanities.
Good article. It highlights the unfortunate fact that there's Trump & Farage figures all over the world! Though this is not knew. These oligarch evil people have been working at this for yrs. The social media oligarchs now have unchecked & unregulated powers to spread lies. It's infuriating & horrifying. Fox entertainment News is a state tv net work like Russia in the US that has brainwashed millions with lies! What happened to trusted, truthful journalism that networks demanded not that long ago? I agree it's going to take ALL of us on both continents to save democracy! It's breathtakingly horrific here in the USA. We the people are fighting back in many ways with so many grassroots groups. I'm quite proud of my fellow Americans. With that said, we can't do it alone. Once trusted networks, Law firms, CEO's, universities etc capitulated. Our lower federal courts are holding the line but the SCOTUS far right judges have kissed the ring it appears. Republicans have surrendered or joined the take over & invasion of cities & states. Democrat Attorney generals & governors are fighting back but as long as lies continue over far right networks & social media this is going to be a long, difficult fight. Truth has broken through because 75% of Americans are not supporting this madness. Although the majority of us never wanted this to begin with. Too many chose NOT to vote.
Keep speaking up, telling truths. Love, protect, & help eachother. I do believe there's more good people than bad people.
History teaches us that when the common people have been oppressed and rise up, nothing can stand in their way. Perhaps it is time again for the 1% to hear from the 99% that enough is enough.
Although we are fighting the battle here in the US, if there is something we can do to aid your resistance, I hope you will tell us. We are artificially separated by lines on a map, but we are all one world. I pray you and your countrymen are able to stem the awful tide. In solidarity ... ✊️🙂

To fight with everything you have to keep this sadistic doctrine from spreading. Many voted for Rump because of the promises he made. The promises were all broken and many have turned away from MAGA. We are trying to get it turned around, but it is hard when they are cheating. The gerrymandering and The ballot fraud during our last election is the reason why he is in office now! Good luck.
