Yes, national boycott is the only answer I can think of that would help. They want you to go to violence, that’s what they are good at. Violence gives them an excuse to crack down, plus you become the thing you’re fighting against.
I agree with your assessment that a remaining (nonviolent) dissent is economic. I think this has to be a very precise measure. Boycotting political donations--yes, to the Democratic Party. I personally support Progressives who only accept grassroots donations. This kind of boycott can be especially effective if widely accepted and given a name. I'll jokingly call it "no cents until your platform makes sense." Boycotting large companies that are major supporters of either party--also helpful, and we need to come up with definitive lists of those companies and spread it and the movement widely. Boycotting large purchases--heck, most of us are already doing that just to keep the lights on. Shopping at locally owned businesses--yes. We don't want to put our neighbors out of work. My only issue with this tactic is that the billionaires are waiting for the economy to falter, even working toward it so they can buy up businesses cheaply and even take majority control of industries. Are we playing into their hands and just contributing to a depression that we suffer from more than they will?
As for the Christian nationalism. Hitler could be successful making Germany homogeneous than Trump or Project 25 actors will. I just don't see it given how diverse religion is in America. In fact, that cause could be the one that draws the millions needed for a protest that resists their efforts.
You are, of course, completely right. The only thing the present government thinks about, understands, or cares about is money, specifically the money that can be bled from the consumer. Although in the past you have recommended that people stop purchasing the big ticket items that the can easily purchase later on, it's my opinion that we would do much better with buy-only-what-you-absolutely-need. And when you absolutely need it, buy it from a small independent business. What items do we actually need: food, toilet paper, prescription medicines, soap, detergent, trash bags...If we can do without something, we stop buying it. You want a take-away coffee? Go to an independent cafe, an independent bakery, an independent coffee roaster. Otherwise, make it at home and take it with you. You want something new to wear? Check out thrift stores, consignment stores, Good Will. As long as we play the game of consumption, we will lose to the corporations that are behind everything from the nightly news to floor mats for your car. Once we stop consuming--on a national scale--we can show the current government the actual power that we have. Until we do this, we will remain lost. Unless we do this, what is bad now will quickly become worse.

Protests, albeit galvanizing to people can not only now be quashed easily by Fake Ice/ American SS or our own military forces, protests can be manipulated to look like violence from the crowd very easily and they can be used to simply aggregate data on who is willing to go to the streets. You ARE SO RIGHT ON about using your wallet. Cut the Buy Now! Stop spending at all the regime's supporters. Cut the flow of cash. It's an actual power we can easily apply as individuals. Stop spending your $. You will need it in the not to distant future. America has been a stable country, wherein the citizens like the nation itself have not been frightened of debt because they know another job or circumstance will come along if things get "bad" for them. That is not an obvious future now. We have shit our nest. Time to clean house, and buckle up! Be emotionally prepared, be politically aware and above all be physically ready and as financially prepared as possible and that means cash on hand. If you're in a red state, the caveat to supporting local businesses is that many are Trump supporters. It's damn near impossible in Oklahoma.
