I trust that Americans are working day and night to identify and neutralise every step by the Trump regime to stop/interfere with/corrupt the mid-term elections because, as you say, Trump will do whatever it takes to stay in power.

Let's say Trump declares a state of emergency, evokes the War Powers Act and indefinitely postpones the midterms. Each state should then hold elections anuway and tout the results. Red states would probably not join in, but do it anyway.

This comprehensive analysis of the Minab Massacre from multiple sources shows the stupidity of this murderous reich:

Thanks, very factual. What may otherwise be considered a decade-old ‘clerical error’ of not updating the geolocation of IRG site vs girls’ school … became a tragedy.

Too bad the school was located so close to the IRG naval site.

But in a poor little fishing village it was likely convenient & they felt the wall wd be a sufficient delineation between the two.

The GOP seem to be slowly waking up … mainly due to concern of electoral wipeout, but perhaps the ‘occasional’ latent thread of decency. 🙄

With the ever-widening turmoil I am reminded of Rev. 12:12 — one of the ‘Woe to the earth …’ because the devil, kicked out of heaven to the earth, will cause as much hassle / take as many out with him as he can in his way out … kinda like Trump.

The wall was painted bright colors and extremely visible. It was no accident. Add to that the other civilian targets.

Sad, but totally irrelevant. Outdated b/w satellite pics, not ground-level color photos,were used to program the missiles. Read the analysis I linked.

The murder of 150+ school children in an unprovoked and illegal act should be cause enough, but apparently not.

Hi truth Matters -- If Trump is told "No" by the US Miltary Leadership an Chain of Command - it's over for him and his Republican Govenrment - in 24 hours.

But that is not going to happen until someone with a following on the Internet points out to the Bigger Dogs on the Internet - that the US Military Chain of Command is not only breaking it's own regulations every day - by following illegal orders:

They are also breaking their Oaths of Allegiance to this Country - by not protecting the Constitution - which is their single stated job in the Oath they took.

They did not swear to follow orders.

They did not swear to protect any President.

They did not swear to protect any Govenrment.

They swore to protect "only" the US Constitition from "...all enemies foreigh and domestic...".

They don't get to retire in the face of the enemy.

They don't get to choose which enemy they will fight.

Their own regulations dictated that they make up their individual mind as to the legality of any order or command - from anyone - especially this "thing" the Republican voter elected and is cheering on.

Jay Jay Eh's avatar

This is why Trump got rid of the majority of JAG officers. (Judge Advocate General).

— they were depended on to adjudicate these sorts of things, right?

Without them the military commanders are weakened … not sure exactly how that works.

Scott McKie's avatar

Hi Jay Jay Eh -- I'm going to give you the truth here -- and as a US Army Officer's "brat" (my father, Col. Forrest McKie ran G3 Plans and Operations / Western Hemisphere after which he retired - now in Arlington) and a US Navy Vet (now disabled), Early Vietnam:

--- this hurts - but the truth has be known and enforced - by us.

"JAGs" are not involved in a sworn Oath taken, either by enlisted man and women in the US Military - or by the US Military Officer Corp commissoined to lead them -- because there is nothing to adjudicate.

It's black or White - no Shades of Grey -- full-stop.

The fact is I had the same argument wiht my father - because he told me "...that he had to obey all orders from the White House -- because no matter who was in the White House - they were his boss...".

That is patently not true.

There is no Civil Law or UCMJ regulation or directive - statint that any order or command from the White House has to be obeyed -- it's just a fabricated "tradition" the Military Leadership has concocted over time.

The Officer's Oath states that the officer swears allegaince -- to the Constitution - and mentnions, eludes to, or recommends - no other.

They, to a man and or woman - are betraying that Oath - by participating in the descimination of illegal orders from Trump - through Hegseth - through Gen. Caine, the politically placed Chaiman of the Joint Cheifs of Staff - placeing every person under their collective command in the illegal position of either following an illegal order, or be charged and brought up for court marshall for refusing to obey a command -- that that individual - as ordered by UCMJ Articles 90 and 92 - to make up their individiiual mind as to it's legality.

The movie "...A Few Good Men..." got it completely right when it showed the two enlisted men who had, under orders , participated in the Code Red killing of another soldier - when one said to the other "...what did I do wroung - I was only following orders...".

In the movie - the commanding Officer who gave the order got caught and arrested.

Today - Officers are being allowed to "retire".

I, as a US Military Vet - say NO - no more.

"...Do the job you swore to do..." - as there is no difference in who and where the enemy is.

It's here / it's part of the US citizenry / and the US Military Commissioned Officer's Corp has sworn to fight it - and stop what your doing.

Jay Jau Eh - it works -- by demading that the Miltiary Officers - honor their Oath - or be made kno;nw that they will be charged with crimes against the Constitution that they are committing daily- and you start by reminding every Officer you might know, on active duty or retired - honor your Oath.

Judge Advocate General duties include advising their superiors of:

U.S. military rules of engagement (ROE) directives that outline the circumstances under which military forces can engage in combat, specifying 🔹when, 🔹where, and 🔹how force may be used.

These rules are designed to ensure compliance with 🔹national and 🔹international laws while protecting both military personnel and civilians during operations.”

Military commanders will consult with JAG officials to ensure that they are correctly following military rules of engagement (ROE) and if the JAGs will back their decisions if matters go to court.

Apparently not all commanders are as familiar with the ROE as the JAGs are, there was a reason for the existence of their jobs — but 🔻Trump & Hegseth 🔻don’t like ‘rules’, so they got rid of most JAGs, likely leaving behind only the few that were MAGA/ Trump oriented Yes-men.

Basically they are military lawyers, it seems.

Scott McKie's avatar

Hi Jay Jay Eh -- you made my case - as nothing you've offered here pertains to the language contained in their Oath.

There is no wiggle-room in the verbiage of the Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution - for any and all US Military Officers.

I am not, and was not an Officer - and I don't play one here.

But I respect those that do their job - as specifically defined by the langnuage in the Oath that each one of them took -- and I have yet to see anything that is close to honoring it up to this moment; and I specifically make the time distinction as no othr US President has done what this one has, and is doing.

There are those that are getting irritated, especially US Army Major General Randy George, the present US Army Chief of Staff - whom the US Govenrment left high and dry in Dubai - and who just made it back out.

We will see if anything comes out of that.

Jay Jay Eh's avatar

The point is … when they’re up against *this administration they need ‘the law’ on their side, as in a legal representative with knowledge & authority to debate the proper application of those laws.

— in this case, the JAGs, who are well-versed in those specific laws.

Anyone disobeying an order will need legal back-up … and Trump decimated the ranks of those who wd provide that back-up … likely leaving only a few Yes-men.

Without JAG legal assistance when disobeying an order … what can happen to ‘the dissident’ — in normal times it’s bad enough, but with this mafioso admin? It wd be Hari-kari … to ‘prove a point’ & make a few people happy, others martyrs?

-- I realize “it feels good to be right”, but you can be dead right too.

Those following orders that they don’t like (as they are highly trained to do), may be waiting for the right moment to make an effective move, and one that doesn’t merely hang themselves out to dry.

Looking at both sides …

Scott McKie's avatar

Hi Jay Jay Eh -- these are all good points, and presented in a civil manner; which I really appreciate and thank you for.

The legal fact is however - that any person in the US Military can attain private legal representation, even if a JAG is available.

So whehter or not there are enough JAGs available - is a mute point.

There are some time honored and binding legal definitions I'm bringing into our interaction for your information:

1.) "...What constitutes an overt act of Treason..." -as defined by Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution:

--- It requires an open, manifest action, not just thought or entent, that either levies war against the US, or gives "aid and comfort" to it's enemies - and it has to be witnessed by 2 witnesses to the same act or a confession in open court.

The US is full of people who can testify that they've seen Treason being committed by Trump / his Govenrment / and his Political Party - daily - and it is the "other people" of the US that are being injured - unless one of the offending party's "favorite ox get's gored".

2.) "what is the legal definition of a Dictator..."?

A Dictator is defined as a political leader possessing absolute, unconstrained, and often self-appointed power, charactrized by the erosion of leal checks and balances.

Within the US Constitutional framework, a president acting as a dictator woould not be considered a legal president, as the Constitution requires adherence to checks and balances. (Campaign Legal Center)

Dictator vs. US President: A US President is not a dictator or a king, and is restricted by Constitutional, Congressional, and Judicial checks.

Legality of a Dictator President: A President excercising absolute power is acting outside the US Constitutionalk structure.

Enforcement Mechanisms -- a President acting as a Dictator couldl be stopped by Congress through impeachemnt -- or by the Military. (Campaigh Legal Center).

The important overt act of Treason here against the US Constitution was commited by the present sitting "Supreme Court 6" members:

--- all hand-picked and groomed by the super conservative Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society, and:

--- shepherded through several US Senates, while they were cotrolled by one of the two political parties;

--- by US Senator Mitch McConnell, who is quoted as saying "...he's proud of what he has done...";

--- using a Senate "rule" - not a US Law - to hold up all nominations for empty Supreme Court Seats until Donald Trump was elected President -for the second time;

--- after he personally directing the same poitical party mob that attacked the US Capitol -- effectively putting in play a long-term, well thought out;

"...coup-d'etat from within...".

Voting in the US is a right, as guarenteed by the US Constition; and is totally legal.

But:

--- consistantly voting for a now publicly self-declared "Dictator on Day 1" (totally backed up daily by his pronouncements; Execitve Orders ; and actions -- all made possible by the preemptive decision by the Supreme Court 6 to grant Trump "immunity for official actions while in office" - with the definition of "official" being left to him;

--- knowing Trump had instigated and led the riot of his political party members that overran the US Capitol;

--- knowing that he had been granted "immunity while in office" by the Supreme Court 6 - is by legal definion:

--- "...knowingly overt acts..." to damage the US Constitution and the peoples that are trying to live under it's protection - while working to turn the US into a Dictatorship.

These are the legal reasons behind me stating to you - that the non-com and enlisted personnel in the Military; being commanded to commit the acts that we have been witnessing:

--- have the Law on their side.

It is the present US Republican Party Government that has turned itself into:

--- being the enemy of the US citizen that didn't vote for Trump or any Repubican Party politician.

They are using their Project 2025 / 2026 playbook - to change the US, from the almost 250 year Rebublic - to their Dictatorship.

This automatically brings harm to the Constitution: -- which the US Military Leadership has sworn to fight and protect - from any enemy: foreigh or domestic.

This time the enemy is the domestic, i.e., "home-grown" US Republican Party Govenrment.

We are doing our best to bring down billion dollar companies that are propped up by our government. It will take a long, long time. I hope thoughtful Americans are prepared for the long game!

You state that this war will result in more terrorism, etc., yes it already has done that! Isn't raining down bombs on civilians DURING negotiations an ACT OF TERROR??? The leadership in Iran murdered citizens, they are evil! Our government has done the same for many years! Learn history if you don't know that.

Godspeed

PLEASE GET YOURSELF INTO THE STREET AND JOIN THE RALLIES/MARCHES THIS SUNDAY LED BY THE WOMEN’S MARCH (www.womensmarch.com—look for gatherings in your zip code in events). THIS IS A TIME FOR ALL TO PROTEST THIS INSANE WAR — THE MARCH IS NOT JUST FOR WOMEN. WE NEED TO SHOW THE WORLD WITH OUR BODIES AND PRESENCE AND VOICES THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE OF ALL WALKS OF LIFE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS MADMAN’S ACTIONS. It does no good to bellyache online — a few people see it and agree with you and you think you have done something. Join the resistance in person-- add yourself and some friends into a photo of parks and streets full of determined, angry (yet not violent) people who will use their voices, their presence and their courage to make a change. Hey—they KNOW who we are already — those of us who don’t support Trump and his agenda. No place to hide!! Coming out in public is no big deal, but making a loud stink IS a big deal. Show them you are against this asinine grifting war, along with all the other illegal overreach that has been perpetrated upon us. Hope to see you en masse this weekend, especially Sunday….

I’m almost 85 & live solely on social security earned by working from 17 to 77. My current annual income is barely $30,000. The elderly have seen, endured and contributed much to the USA. We all fear the current administration and what is happening to our country and the world in general. We don’t understand why anyone wants to believe or support the lies, diversions and corruption. Change is needed to save us all.

The longer this war goes on the more hated the US will become. Ironically it will also weaken the US to the advantage of China. Not to mention that an oil shortage could help Russia.
