Do you think that Israel thought the attack would never happen, even though there were clear warning signs, or do you think they wanted it to happen so that they would have an excuse to retaliate?
This is a very interesting question which has been a niggle in the back of my mind for some time, but I am prepared to believe incompetent is at work, because the alternative is truly evil.
