I couldn't agree with you more about your assessment of the current Democratic party. There needs to be a complete overhaul at the DNC, Congressional Democrats in both chambers that are of a certain age need to retire and give way to younger representatives, and Schumer and Jeffries need to pass the batton as well. I don't recall them being effective leaders when they had an opportunity to make a difference.

Professor Basil Smikle from Columbia University once said, "You have to create a world voters want to live in."

I think Dems need to do something different since its clear from the 2024 election their talking points were not even close to hitting the mark for voters. They need to ask Jon Ossoff how to talk to voters.

Yes, but please don't forget that the patriarch of AOC, Talarico and Mamdani is Senator Bernie Sanders.

What are your thoughts. Martin, on how the Democratic Party is dealing with the Graham Platner scandal?

Oops! What I wanted to say, as a more educated voter, I don’t see how I will ever vote for a republican again: their politics are cruel, corrupt, and serve the upper 10%. As a ‘never rumper’, but not a Hillary fan, I’d like to see 3 presidential candidates run. Better yet, I’d like to see Citizen’s United repealed to remove our elections out of the ‘bought‘ category!! And a requirement that all candidates running for employment in the US government be competent…for all positions in the government!! Is that too much to expect?? I despise politics…you know, “it’s not who you know but you (fill in the blank)”. Whatever happened to: earning it; being honest and trustworthy; and assessments (unlike what Ken Martin put out there!) that show the root cause of failure??

Thank you Martin for your consistent analysis of our current political scene. Always appreciated!!
