It’s so important to understand the history and pain of the people in the Middle East . Their history of being conquered, being manipulated and cheated out of their natural resources by western powers , the colonial power exerted over them , the conflicts of the religious groups and territories of different cultural tribes . It is an extremely complex and complicated history . We tend to believe that all the “ terrorist groups “ were a result of inherent rejection of western culture , which is only a fraction of the big picture . The CIA and intelligence agencies were actively involved in regime change in Iran and other countries. Autonomy has been violated over and over again…. Not by bombs but by behind closed door deals, arming dissidents and destabilizing the economy . When the US tries to spread democracy, impose western standards , and dominate national natural resources - we are doomed to face backlash from the people . You can not “rape and plunder “ ( symbolically) and expect compliance and cooperation.
Democracy will not work in all cultures or countries…. And we need to stop this campaign to free the masses from demigods. Revolution must be homegrown. Of course we should strongly condemn human rights violations, and tyranny of bad leaders. But it’s time for the US to stop interfering in sovereign states.
We can not and should not police the world.
I too was disappointed in Obama’s response to the Crimea invasion. And now Ukraine faces the ongoing threat from Russia. This is NATOs backyard …. This incursion should have been dealt with strongly by the alliance.
Borders are not optional …. And peace in the world will only come when all nations agree on that basic principle and respect the sovereignty of each country.

Even that is a lie, religious people would not have started a war without a real reason. Their religion is the dollar, the rest is a role they play to fool the Bible Belt, their base. This is an illegal war and they are all criminals.
I sure hope I live to see him out of office, tried for war crimes,corruption and his enablers behind bars. Our country will have a lot of clean up to do though.

I learned alot. I do remember Khomeini came back in 79 (I was 8-9 yr and remember I thought it was nice that this old priest could come home when I watched the news. (I probably understood that the Iranian people wasn't happy with the Shah (and his wife was almost as famous as Imelda Marcos shoes I think (before Imelda ofcourse))
However, I didn't know that CIA was actually involved in coups in the middle east (support war on all sides yes) but thought coup was reserved for most countries not having a dictator in South America (and trying to kill Castro) so very interesting to learn something new disgusting crimes from US
I think the worst was when US in a civil lawsuit against Kissinger to provide the rifle killing the general that was in the way for Pinochet to take the power from Allende. Kissinger provided an American gun through diplomatic mail, for killing a general in another country to facilitate a coup for a fascist dictator that disappeared and killed every Chilen that opposed him, for decades. US decided this was a official act as a foreign minister. I think Kissinger probably have been in involved in warcrimes over most of the world. I think he win in warcrimes in number, if counting different countries and different crimes... I recommend Christopher Hitchins book about Kissinger (the trial against...)
