I do as you, calling my senators, representatives and talk to people face to face and on the phone.I am a protesting Democrat and very proud of it but I am fearful for this country. At my age I won’t be around to see the worst of it. My heart aches for those that will. Project 2025 is way over half accomplished and if not stopped will continue till completed. As a born and raised New Yorker of the sixties and seventies, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island the ferry boats so much a part of my reality, awareness that we are a refuge for oppressed, an asylum. Immigrants were/are the very fabric of the city at that time. My day I would intermingle with, Irish, Italians, Polish, Jewish, Hungarians, Puerto Ricans, Arabs, Ethiopians and African Americans everyday!
I mated in the eighties as what is coined “a love couple” as those were the results of the civil rights movement. My child has a Caribbean father. Since this despot and Gestapo force are unfortunately now a disgusting evil reality I’ve had a knot in my stomach all the time!!
What message is this sending to my interracial college age son and his peers??!!!

We have Alligator Alley in Florida State run detention center with many abuses , including unsanitary water and placing detainees into a “box” many detainees are missing from DHS list . GEO a private run detention center are hiring Bounty Hunters to escalate the deportations . All this moral depravity it's horrifying.
This victim is wearing a shirt with a Nike logo. Corporate CEOs are aiding and abetting the regime in its torturous behavior . This photo should be used to shame Nike into speaking out against the Regime. They should ´just do it.’!

It is, of course, our regime that is creating the crisis… but Trump was elected and still has the support of a gross 38% of the population, some of whom are quick to articulate their opinions on your page. We are a country that is a mix of people with backgrounds and ideals that vary widely, and it never seems to narrow. The Civil War never put certain ideologies to rest and racism and conservatism is strongly regarded and represented. It is disheartening that 150 years hasn’t shifted the deep seated animosity that runs through our society. I don’t know what would.
The founding fathers acknowledged that the constitution would work only if people are fundamentally moral. President I-like-to-punch-down is profoundly immoral, and suffers from a disorder formerly known as "moral insanity" and "moral idiocy." Empowering this disordered person immediately after the Supreme Court declared anything the president does is automatically legal, is among the dumbest things ever done by any people, anywhere.
Glad you mentioned future generations. But what about us in this generation studying the reasons we got to this moment ?
