This is why I get so mad when people say we can’t compare Trump to Hitler. I’ve never compare anyone to Hitler (well, Putin, but that was at the same time that I drew the comparison with Trump). It’s just a shorthand to say look at everything that happened in Germany in the lead up to WWII and it’s all happening now. They are using the same playbook Orban used which is based on other authoritarian/dictators, and if we don’t stop it now it’s only going to get exponentially worse. Thank goodness other countries are starting to step up but it also needs to happen in the US, from journalists, democrats, republicans, independents. We all have to work together and separately to stop this. (Edited bc I hit enter too soon) Keep spreading the word! And please direct people to resources and organizations that are fighting this administration, if you can. 🙏🏻

This explains how we are trapped and by whom. A gang of psychopaths took over the country and the world. What we need is an action like 911 was organized, simultaneous, but done by professionals. Maybe some government that has a lot to lose from this group of criminals would be willing to try it. I am hopeful, and I think that it is a unique solution without further damage to humanity. Just cull the heads, all of them. They would do the same in the reverse situation, no doubt.

The Democratic Party lost its way after their 1968 Chicago Convention/police riot. Essentially abandoned most of what FDR, et al, put in place as winning policies centered on, and in celebration of our “Working Class” citizenry (lip service didn’t count).
So now, even NOW?- the DNC continues to resist the growing cadre of mostly YOUNG Progressives who demonstrate their passion for democracy AND our imminently threatened Working Class. It’s sink or swim, people. The barbarians have already crashed the gate of representative democracy. Fight them now, fight them hard. It’s too late for studies and GD polls before action.
Hound the hell out of them. Op Eds in local digital newspapers. Same for Neighborhood rags. Challenge DNC hierarchy at local Democratic Clubs (they visit those often - I’m a former Leader of a large one).
There are excellent patriots leading the democrats toward liberalism from this nightmare. We know that Trump was not a billionaire before his 2nd inauguration, but within a year he had become worth over $3 billion! When you follow the money, he’s grifted & extorted at every opportunity, & his partners include serious underworld players! He is in the middle of a spaghetti bowl of connections that may defy forensic experts.

A well thought out and coherent piece. The entire Trump fever dream has people stumbling into themselves, as if shot in the face with pepper spray. It seems impossible to find the path. It's akin to being a human pinball, each bumper representing war, racism, genocide, women's rights, cruelty, insanely violent immigration policies, child abuse and sex trafficking, Epstein and billionaires, desecration of federal lands, our planet, education and freedom, ballrooms and faux assassination attempts. Today, we are flailing about, trying to block the dam with a hand missing every finger. We are bruised from the moment we open our eyes and pick up our phones. Our very lives are on the line...and the aforementioned is the short list for the Booker prize from hell. Personally, I am ready to move forward. I am not religious, but as the Buddha once said, "When you pray, move your feet." The politicians now elected into office who are supposed to represent and listen to us, have completely forgotten what their job description was when they were elected. Instead it of what had seemed to be more delusions by someone living in denial. Biden did not spend his time cleaning up any mess Trump or his first administration made & Hitlary is deplorable to say the least.
