If anyone thought this was the end of the panic, they should seek medical help as a matter of urgency. The market climb was a criminal market manipulation event.
Why are the American people being held hostage by this lunacy? The urgency is real, every day the shreds of democracy that are left are dwindling. He has immunity. He has stacked every branch with loyalists who are just as ill. But yet, we just have to sit here and write letters, make the calls, and hold the signs at peaceful protests while hoping we make it to midterms, let alone 2028. It’s been less than 3 months. 2026 isn’t even imaginable right now. By all means, we’ll keep on keeping on but honestly, it’s tougher every day to have any hope. Unless the democratic and few democracy supporting republicans can sway several of the maga reps and senators to stand up for democracy, NOW, most of us will become what Vance introduced recently - peasants under the regime.
I one million % agree with you Nicole! It’s such a frustrating time when I feel “stuck” while watching our country slip away. It is both difficult and frightening to display outward signs of being disloyal towards this lunatic & his administration. They’ve surrounded themselves in a cushion of protection and are untouchable with immunity. I want desperately for a strong leader to stand up against this tyranny and each day that passes I worry that we’re just sinking lower and lower into the muck.
About the clip with Stuart/Buttegieg: Excellent...both men articulate, intelligent, and obviously good-willed patriots. My concern is, the MAGA types don't care. You cannot reach them. They live in their own vacuum and cannot hear or see. They will view all of this as radical communism or bleeding weak liberal thinking. I would vote for Mr. Buttegieg in a flash, but the sick MAGAs are still there.....HOW do we get to THEM??
We need a cadre of great political, economic and legal minds to form a think tank to help this country survive until 2026.
Barack Obama, both Clintons, George Conway, George Soros, Mark Cuban, Marc Elias, Marc Weissman, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Janet Yellin, Andrew Ross Sorkin, General Mark Milley, Corey Booker, Letitia James, Adam Schiff, Pete Buttigieg, Joyce Vance, Jamie Dimon, Elizabeth Warren, Chris Murphy, Governor Pritzker, Governor Shapiro, Tim Walz, Jon Meacham, and former Vice President Harris to name a few!
What a great article! I could listen to the Jon Stewart & Pete Buttigieg interview over and over.
Im in full agreement with each comment. Nicole’s tho’ not only touches a cord, I also appreciate her sense of urgency.
We are teetering on a precipice! I sense there is a balance point that if we meet it without a strategy, a balance not retrievable could be our a lot. I’m floundering on what I can/ will do.
We need some purposeful direction. I’m glad to be in the streets. Yet I feel there is a dire ned for dynamic leadership and a strategy to nip this insanity before too much more occurs.
Perhaps manifesto, I’m just saying ..
it’s true the Democratic Party does not frame things and calculate especially the way this recent coalition of our “far righters” have managed with their 2025 at the ready. According to George Lakekoff, we might be better off if we’d learn to frame and engage voters new effective ways.
When republicans and MAGAts watch nothing but Fox News, NewsMax and had listened to Rush Limbaugh until he croaked, it truly doesn't matter what people say to those viewers. They are completely brainwashed. But, I do agree that the democratic "establishment" needs to get their shit together. Even today, with everything going on, people say why aren't more people enraged at what is happening to our democracy? Because so many of those Fox News and NewsMax...oh and don't forget (Tucker Carlson and Charlie Kirk) viewers continue to get their news there and not only do they hear lies, the omission of information is astounding. And until we as a country find a way to eliminate the actual fake news, our frustrations will continue.
It's a peon to dissatisfaction, intelligently read and worded, but prone to the kind of bias in the name of a rational mind that tips occasionally into messianic. I wish there was a new messiah, but there are 10,000 years to await (according to the latest research on the possible species longevity, based on the recent record, not just the current level of idiocy).
Why are functional illiterates, other than the blind, voting?
There's a conundrum. Reason vs compassion vs the chimp?

As I mentioned before, in the past 50 years, no republican president did something good for the country.
Trumple Thinskin🤣🤣🤣🤣. What a way to diminish ☺️him.
Beto for President!
I’m going to keep putting his name out there

I acknowledge the blind may experience and perceive the words out there.
