Good analysis. Thank you.

I imagine, you read other people’s opinions and reporting and watch other people’s blogs on substack.

You must be aware of the similar Tone between yourself and others even if some are informed and others not so much.

The one common thread is criticism. Some of it well stated much of it not.

And because there’s so much to be critical of you and others will not run out of material. There is a flaw however in continuing along that path. Assuming the present administration finally self destructs in a year or so if we’re lucky what is the plan afterwards ? Please begin to think about and write about how the usa will rebuild itself politically when the present administration is out of power .

Totally agree … what comes next ? How do we fight our way out of this living hell ? It is overwhelming….. to understand how the “ deconstruction of the administrative state “ will impact American lives for the next 20 years. But also , Our international reputation has been severely marred and undermined. This will also be a momentous task to repair .

Poor Martin … you have been tasked with a great challenge. But I think you are an excellent source to help define what steps will be required . And then we will nominate you for a Nobel prize 🏆 . 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

🤣🤣🤣 No pressure then. I have touched on the ‘Day After’ thinking in earlier posts, but I do have some thoughts I’m happy to share. You know me never fearful of having opinions.

They are already imploding. I hope it’s not another year of this. Our economy can’t take it.

The Progressive Movement has a platform (Progressive Democrats and DSA) . Thom Hartman has this laid out (he calls it a Manifesto) on his website and in his Substack.

ALOHA. On the COCONUT ONE FINGER WIRELESS...............""Being president of this country is entirely about character.”.........""President Andrew Shepherd said it best as he wrapped up his address to the nation. “We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious men to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, friend, I promise you, "ORANGE FACE. CRY BABY, PEDO PIG, TRUMP" is not the least bit interested in solving it,” he said of his opponent. “He is interested in two things and two things only: Making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it.” Rather than govern, "ORANGE FACE, CRY BABY PEDO PIG TACO" Trump is blaming his critics for the problems he has created. He is blaming immigrants, minorities, and Democratic voters and politicians alike. He is blaming you and me. "" .... ............ Yell at your reps............. Even if undocumented workers did not pay taxes, the amount of money our country is spending on this whole program is money that could support our social safety system, pay for healthcare subsidies, feed and house the poor. Don’t cry about not being able to afford these programs when you waste so much taxpayer dollars on getting rid of those that just want a better life for themselves and their families

Excellent analysis, thank you.

Although I hate reading this, for obvious reasons, I appreciate that it's factual and easy to understand. Thanks for what you put into all three parts Martin. Now we need to go about finding a way to 1) get rid of the entire inhumane administration and 2)fix the "prison problem" in the US. I teach a class twice a year to women incarcerated in my state. It's been such an eye-opener for me. I've learned so much from the women I teach. And I stand firm in my belief that the majority of people want to "do the right thing" but many times lack the tools. They just need to be taught how. Happy Christmas to you and yours Martin!!! 🎄❤️

I understand and I promise I have some thoughts on a day after strategy, because Lord are we going to need a plan.

LeslieHD's avatar

We most definitely will need a plan. A plan for accountability and a plan to rebuild ... everything.

Mass immigration does not compliment much less “mass” deportation...its all bs from the left and right a game of complicity -

Mike Lewis's avatar

These idiots don't know how to read the room still pushing illegal immigration and migrants the masses of the USA and the whole free world and 3rd world countries are pushing back against immigration and this idiot is trying to convince people otherwise

😂

Even with a trump on the right the left will lose every election pushing this narrative

Americans of all spectatles disagree with your immigration policies and want it stopped and the the ones here illegally deported.

Truth Matters's avatar

I don’t have policies, so I’m not sure what you’re reading? I simply have facts that there is no economic benefit from mass deportation. It costs tens of billions for no return. Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m not to blame that 21% of Americans are illiterate and 54% are at 6th grade or below. You did that all by yourselves.

it’s clear from your incoherent ramblings that you also struggle with numbers too. Did you attend Trump University by any chance?

Idiots. Hmm. I ran a company that employed both white and Hispanic workers for 25 years… want to hazard a guess who we could count on to show up ON TIME? And to show up EVERY DAY? And to put in a full day of work without constantly slacking or making excuses, or taking breaks? Or NOT SHOWING UP AT ALL without calling in? Hint… it wasn’t the guys with brown skin…. And I would bet you a hundred to none you know people who think working in fields, or landscaping, or manual labor is not what you were born to do either. Racism is disgraceful, disgusting. It surely doesn’t make you a better worker or a better human. Or smarter… just lucky to be born the color you are.

It's not just the immigrants anymore. The Nazis have already started detaining or in a few cases refusing entry to Europeans. Right now two British women are in detention for overstaying their visas, two German girls on holiday to Hawaii were detained in Honolulu when their claimed travel itinerary could not be verified by the hotel they were registered to stay. They were shortly deported to Japan, who had no idea what to do with them as they had not yet approved their visas as they were not due for a month. The story dropped out of the news cycle so I hope they got back to German in one piece.

A recent Furherorder has declared homelessness and mental illness felonies, he has also designated ANTIFA a domestic terrorist group along with a few left wing charities. Our DOJ Barbie, Pam Bondi has authorized rewards/bounties to anyone calling in to inform on ANTIFA terrorist or anyone who denounces the Furher. Since I am a member of the Democratic Socialists of America I'm sure there's a price on my head too. In America ANTIFA is just a political ideology. I know there is or was an organization of that name in Europe.

Removal of these Nazis, despite their flagrant violations of the Constitution is inhibited by that same Constitution, the one written to protect the Aristocrat caste. It would be treason for us to violently oppose him because he was elected. Resisters like me are already promised to be charged with sedition and insurrection. As to his followers, one of his Reichsfurhers has stated that camps are being constructed in the heartland (farm country) for Medicaid and SNAP recipients to "live safely and satisfy the new work requirement to receive teh benefits." One problem, these are state administered programs and every state has adopted work requirements for them. But there are many disabled, and caregivers to disabled family who can't work. Those exclusions have been revoked by the Furherorder. So the MAGA minions will soon receive a knock on the door and orders to pack a big and go out to the waiting bus. Ive been saying for years these oligarchs and their pet Republicans have wanted their salves back. I was hoping I was wrong.

If the midterms next year are fair and honest and enough Democrats, Progressive Democrats and DSA people win and the DNC people on the take are not put in charge we may be able to impeach a few of the Supreme Court Justices and get them out. Then we might have a chance to impeach the Furher on charges of sedition/treason which would also remove his entire cabinet. Otherwise we may be stuck with him or whoever succeeds him when he dies, which we believe will be soon. He's very sick. Unless NATO gets fed up with him and comes lend a hand. But the big question right now is who is the US Military loyal to? The Furher or the Constitution?

I realise it can make for difficult reading and I take no pleasure framing it in this way, but the comparison is uncanny as are other aspects of the policy agenda.

There is NO fiscal conservative justification for mass deportation NONE. The fact that forced labour is built into the budget is the real disturbing aspect to this.
