I cringed when I saw the quote from Peter G. Peterson, the former Nixon Commerce Secretary and co-founder of Blackstone Group. His company’s raison d’être is to provide fuel to the argument that Social Security Medicaid, and Medicare need to be slashed in order to “Fix the Debt” (another of Peterson’s innocuous-seeming group of billionaires ostensibly advocating fiscal responsibility). These wolves in sheep’s clothing want to slash and privatize entitlements programs for their own enrichment. Their scare tactics and sky-is-falling propaganda is squarely behind the GOP’s decades-long attempts at privatizing vital and popular entitlements. First they slash; when it begins to fall apart, that’s the excuse to privatize (because government is “inept”). How about for once, we make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share?
I’m honestly baffled by the “only in the dark, middle of night, especially Fridays” scheduling of debates and votes. 🤔 Do they really believe no one will notice because it’s dark outside⁉️🙊🙉🙈
This keeps getting worse! The thought of the destruction of our great National Park lands is disgraceful! There are apparently no limits to the greed of these people and the sycophants who enable them, pretending to be serving their constituents, but really just falling in line for the orange devil!
In the dead of night before midnight, that's again Orban's recipe since 2010. The bill comes in effect the next day, there is literally no time to protest. And Trump has just now praised Orban again.

The huge question is why Republican Congressmen are going along with policies that in many cases will visit huge difficulty and suffering upon their own voters?
How can they imagine they could ever be re-elected?
Or are they thinking that free and fair elections in 2026 and 2028 won't happen, so there's nothing to worry about?
