Never has there been a time when Democratic messaging needs to be on its A Game. The Supreme Court has green-lighted unlimited dark money to flow into this campaign.
Farrage appears to have won the election and the Reform Party is now back on track to destruction. British Politics is probably in more disarray than American politics. No one in British politics has a real plan to attack and resolve the problems. Americans have one decision to make and it is simple, get rid of the Republicans or continue the destruction.
As someone who does not swallow hole, it has always struck me that when people, no matter what ideology they may follow, are part of the masses, they forget their convictions, their principles and more often than not, do swallow hole and act like real bastards. That has become more apparent since Donald Trump entered into politics and advocated for vulgarity, ignorance, and lawlessness only in his case and the ones loyal to him, in the name of transparency as a basis for his platform.
I have met very good, caring Republicans who is very hard to believe are Trumpists, but they are. Individually, they can be easy to talk to, and, even open to reason with.
On the other side of that coin, I have met very nice far left individuals who have shown compassion and a true moral compass, but when trying to discuss ideology with them, they become quite fanatical. That is not to say that far right Republicanscannot be fanatical as well. And when people get used to being told what to do rather than use critical thinking, they become easily malleable. That is why far right and far left regimes do not work; because the leaders don’t care about their own followers when they get to positions of power and very selectively forget their promises. “Some animals are more equal than others” on both sides of the spectrum.
It used to be that the left, either moderate or the far left, would be more educated and would have more intellectuals. It is more common to see artists and creators be part of that group. On the other hand, conservative minded people, while very capable of becoming quite well educated, choose to follow what they call principles and moral values, and are more prone to stand on those “convictions” because “they are important,” because “their faith demands that they do,” because, deviating from them, makes them be perceived as socialists or communists… God forbid!
I have also watched people from the left become extremely rude and even indecorous, just to distance themselves from the decorum and the respect that authority or certain circumstances demand. I refer to instances in Parliament or in Congress alike, to illustrate what I’m trying to say.
It is also true that Republicans have always stood together professing to be Christian and people of moral values as opposed to the “amoral and unprincipled” opposition. That is why, in Spain, for instance, the popular party has come closer to the far right party, Vox. And now Spain is taking a turn towards the far right in spite of what the socialist party has tried to accomplish under Pedro Sánchez. And the left, who united behind him before, is quite polarized and divided now. That is why in Germany, in spite of the history they are burdened with, people are looking at the far right again with apprehension in some cases and with excitement in others, and the social Democrats are losing more and more ground as well as the moderate conservatives. That is also why in France, people are contemplating voting for Mari Lepin in spite of the fact that she was driven out of politics before she was given a loophole to re-enter it. I believe that Emmanuel Macron has tried to lead the country to a more progressive place without forgetting certain principles and values, but France, as it was in the 20s and 30s, is very divided. And things are happening in your own turf as well, my friend. And what to say about Italy, and we could go on and on.
The issue is that the preachers of good moral values, “peace” and faith, or in the case of the progressives, equality, healthcare, education etc., become power-hungry and grifters once they are at the top. It hasn’t happened to every one who has made it to power, but it has happened to the majority of those who have been able to grab it in politics. We are human, corruptible in many cases, lazy, in many other cases; we have the capacity to be base, and we all have the power of free will, to decide what we want to be, and how we want to lead our lives. But in today’s society, the line of least resistance is the one that most people are choosing. It takes a second world war, any big war or event that impacts us directly to make us wake up and stop being complacent, and realize that progress entails compassion, solidarity, effort, determination, implication and courage.
Colombia was under the rule of a “left” supposedly ex-guerrilla president, and people were extremely discontented with the way he led the country and the way he misused the public funds. Now, it is in the hands of a man who is a stunch republican, a Trump admirer, and who also admires the brutal president of El Salvador. He has far right tendencies, and we have gone from a so-called communist extremist to a far right extremist.
All of these just to say that people in mass are very easily influenced and it takes a catastrophe to make them realize the error of their ways at the moment when it is happening, but we have a tendency to forget and repeat our errors.
As I have expressed this in other posts, when I used to do a lot of Facebook commentary, man is the only animal who repeats his mistakes more than once.
We will see if the ones who did not vote in 2024 and the ones who claimed to have been duped and voted for this semblance of a man decide to do the right thing and turn Both, the Senate and the house into a more progressive Congress. The prospect of a continuation of this regime with a Republican majority Congress looks very, very grim if we don’t flip both houses. But we do need to make the representatives accountable and if they do not keep their promises, we need to make Congress oust them. The people who willrepresent us after November, if we are able to get a democrat majority, hopefully progressive as well, do need to work on a lot of reform regarding our judiciary and the way money needs to stop being sich a huge factor in politics, among other things.
Thank you for your insightful post as always, my friend.

Most Americans disapprove of His Royal Heinous, but they are looking for an easy solution. One that will not require even a small sacrifice on their part, or any disruption to their life.
They are putting too much faith in what the midterms will do. The midterms may have a beneficial psychologic effect but in reality the outcome will have little or no practical effect, unless the Dems can get 2/3 majority in the house and senate, which they won’t. They will not be able to undo anything His Royal Heinous has done or pass new legislation, because of his veto power.
There will be investigations if the Dems take the House, but to what end. HRH will pardon all perpetrators, and they know it.
They will impeach HRH, but we’ve seen that movie twice before. Convicted in the senate and removed from office? We can only hope, but hope is not a strategy.
He will continue to rule by “National Emergency“ and Executive Orders and almost surely the Supreme Court will allow it.
The greatest danger in all this is that it will appear that something beneficial is happening. The majority of people will believe the system is working. After about a year they will realize that nothing is changing. Then they will think, Oh well, he’ll be gone after the election next year.
Or will he? It took the Hungarians 16 years to get rid of Orban, and the Project 2025 people will certainly not make the same mistakes that Orban did.
The perception study and mental processing is interesting but I think many MAGAs want to ignore the truth …. Be purposely blind so as not to be labeled a stupid fool / cognitive dissonance . So they ignore the fact 🍊rump is convicted of many crimes , his profiteering is over the top and his abuses of power are out in the open .
But let’s not fail to mention that Lies destroy democracy . Lies aren’t just manipulative , lies undermine the very fabric of the system. When politicians lie, people lose faith in their leaders . How many times have I heard “ oh they are all the same … democrats and republicans lie to constituents about anything and everything “ - and that’s why people are not interested in political participation. It’s all theatrics while campaigning…. And then a big fat disappointment. When lies and propaganda are accepted- people are left feeling disenfranchised. Why bother writing my representative…. I get a form letter telling me how much they are doing for me - but never address genocide or AIPAC interference in our system .
So the bottom line is- we need Truth Police .
Fact checkers. And consequences for lies and deception. So many of our wars were started based on lies - Vietnam, Iraq , Iran - lies from our intelligence agencies and spewed by our highest officials. So I think the US needs to embrace the Wales model …. I vote 100% for this .
If you are lying as a public official - you are out . Period . We used to have integrity and honesty in our leaders … those days are gone . Now we need Truth Police. Let’s do this .

Don’t worry about Farage a bin got 10,000 votes to his 22,000. And he returns to Parliament to continue to face the music for his £5 million bribe.
How much money did Farage use for his campaign against the Bin?
I wonder whether Farage is making money from insider trading? He seems to be linked to Trump's people.
The Bin on the other hand may need to come clean and reveal his real identity, a Cyberman who has come to save the aliens.

Fox and other propaganda media are destroying the country. I can’t figure how this is allowed.
