To answer your question concerning getting these fact out as far as Officers honoring their complete Oath: if you have the means / know how to get it to people you think will take it seriesously: -- please do it.
Also - a thought to consider about why Republican Politicians have been doing nothing.
None of them voted themselves into office.

Aside from nationally known “influencers,” each state has its active VA’s, with significant membership. Their leaders are easily identified, across the country, and many are hungry for your promising proposal.
Invite these leaders to opt in and recruit their members. Offer them a specific starting date, timeline, prospective stages of development, etc.
If only some of them respond, you would have a starting participation worthy of media attention. Which would stimulate the enlarging arc toward mass participation.
Who might take these beginning steps? A small team of a dozen activists could contact maybe 150 VA leaders across the states. For this small team I would go directly to the “No Kings…” leaders, all of whom are wondering, how do we sustain and develop this incredible readiness?
Martin, I think you are the one to hammer out the detailed proposal, which can then be negotiated with those who respond. If I were my young community organizer self instead of a declining 91, I would make this appeal myself. In the meantime I can at least discuss it with a few young, competent and energetic prospects.

People don’t want to inconvenience themselves and are under the illusion that this will correct itself once we have midterm elections. I have become an unpopular person because I talk about the political situation so much. I think that there is so much corruption in our politics now that very little will change even if Democrats get back in power. We are rotting from the inside and have adopted a “me first” attitude of hedonism. I am losing hope especially since this disastrous war and Trump’s obsession with domination at the cost of Americans.

To answer your question concerning getting these fact out as far as Officers honoring their complete Oath: if you have the means / know how to get it to people you think will take it seriesously: -- please do it.
Also - a thought to consider about why Republican Politicians have been doing nothing.
None of them voted themselves into office.
It's not Trump their afraid of - it's the Republican Voter that elected them - that they fear - because when you consider it - it's the Republican voter that is at the bottom of all of this - and almost 40% of those "good Christians"- are "good with all of what Trump's doing.
"Just suggestin" - a dual target needs to be considered - because to a vote - you can not be an American - and vote anything Republican any longer.
Their complete Modern Conservatism is a direct copy of the ideologies of the the Third Reich Nazi Government under Adolph Hitler.
What's sick about this - is that Trump's own Grandfather ran away from Germany - because he didn't want to serve a stint in the German Army.

Actually - ours didn't develop into any military regime at all.
That's because the Military at the time was led by an "American - who was a Soldier" - not a "US Military Officer - who thinks he or she is an American".
A huge difference - and exactly my point.
That American - who was a soldier - was named George Washington - and he is the "Father of our Country".
Today's bunch -- are Soldiers first / Americans second:

To be a true American -- you honor your Oath of Allegiance to your Country and Constitution first - full stop.

Defer spending until after the election.

Stop spending now, except on essentials. Defer spending, as much as possible, especially on big ticket items, until after the election.
Shop, but don’t buy. Defer that gratification for a short while.
It’s important to stop spending now so there will be two quarters of bad economic news before the election.
“It’s the economy, stupid” as James Carville famously told Bill Clinton. It was then, and still is, in politics. The reelection of His Royal Heinous is largely attributed to the state of the economy, misrepresented as it was by HRH.
Will HRH destroy the economy on his own? Maybe or maybe not. He’s already retreating from his ill conceived war with Iran because of the damage it’s doing to the economy. TACO.
He will try to find a way to prop it up (like lower interest rates and fake numbers from the administration) because the economy is his key to keeping power.
But why take a chance? A simple and painless deferring of spending until after the election will ensure a Democratic wave and almost surely make the Republican politicians fear The People more than the fear His Royal Heinous.

Add to this - forcing the US Military Officer's Corp -- past and present to honor their individual Oath of Allegiance to the US Constitution:

There is legal language in place - under defining what has to take place if any President tries to become a Dictator; - if all else fails- which it has as the entire Government isi acquiescing their legally demanded actions ;

This worked until the 1930s Super "Modern Conservative" Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society Leadership and membership started planning, by picking and hand grooming the very conservative Supreme Court 6 - Judges now sitting.
Mitch McConnel only used US Senate made "rules", not legal Law - to orchestrate his shepherding of these 6 individuals through the process - while the people themselves "lied through their teeth" during each one's confirmation hearing.
Actually - legally speaking - his actions, by participating in the placement of these partisan individuals constituted overt acts to bring harm against the very Constitution he and every US Republican Party Senator voted through.

Martin, rarely in my eight-decade life have I had much in the way of disposable income. That being said, I have been deferring extraneous spending ever since the 2024 election. That man's intentions were clear to anyone paying attention, and a spending strike was and is something nearly everyone can do.
Like you, I am incredibly frustrated to see the number of brand new automobiles and pickup trucks on the road. Most of them are NOT EVs. I don't know about other spending, except for reading reports of general statistics. But please believe, there are other people like me doing everything we can to topple this regime.

Educating is a challenge as is very evident, but I am working in the background to gather some top content creators and influencers to get the ball rolling. This is an excellent strategy, but lacks a concrete starting point. I see it in de Toqueville’s discovery of the American habit of voluntary associations. Aside from nationally known “influencers,” each state has its active VA’s, with significant membership. Their leaders are easily identified, across the country, and many are hungry for your promising proposal.
Invite these leaders to opt in and recruit their members. Offer them a specific starting date, timeline, prospective stages of development, etc.
If only some of them respond, you would have a starting participation worthy of media attention. Which would stimulate the enlarging arc toward mass participation.
Who might take these beginning steps? A small team of a dozen activists could contact maybe 150 VA leaders across the states. For this small team I would go directly to the “No Kings…” leaders, all of whom are wondering, how do we sustain and develop this incredible readiness?
Martin, I think you are the one to hammer out the detailed proposal, which can then be negotiated with those who respond. If I were my young community organizer self instead of a declining 91, I would make this appeal myself. In the meantime I can at least discuss it with a few young, competent and energetic prospects.

Great Piece. What is really disturbing to me is that the military that signed & committed to DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION not a raving,dangerous narcissistic sociopath who is treating the US military like his personal playthings while breaking every rule in the book. And the military just goes along with it. He has madmen like(hegseth) in powerful positions who has fired 20+- highly rated senior military officers. Have they not had enough.

To Andrew -- add the following from a fellow believer that it's the US Military Officer's Corp that has allowed this second fiasco:
1.) there is no Civil Law or UCMJ Language that even infers that "...any and all orders from the White House - because whomever is "in" - is their boss...". exists.
That's just a self-concocted, multiples of decades "tradition" that they cooked up.
2.) there already exists - specific language in the JUS legal system - that demands that if a President turns rogue, i.e., into a Dictator, in this case because of the total acquiescence of the Republican Party held US House and US Senate - the US Military is to remove that President - not stating but meaning "by any means necessary.

People don’t want to inconvenience themselves and are under the illusion that this will correct itself once we have midterm elections. I have become an unpopular person because I talk about the political situation so much. I think that there is so much corruption in our politics now that very little will change even if Democrats get back in power. We are rotting from the inside and have adopted a “me first” attitude of hedonism. I am losing hope especially since this disastrous war and Trump’s obsession with domination at the cost of Americans.
Don’t throw in the towel yet Judi, I know I haven’t. However frustrated I feel, I still believe this can be won. The problem is there has never been a war on US soil as there has been in Europe. It’s that lack of lived experience that I think is likely the difference.
Democrats will win the midterms battle I’m sure of that, but it will be a hollow win without a people first agenda.

THIS is what they can do - they just don’t know it. We need to shout it from the rooftops. The Indivisible people have gotten millions of people to march. Could they help us get millions of people to boycott big businesses?
