Wake up America and Wake Up Maggotts!! Make America Great Again?

This Despicable FOOL you are supporting is driving the Destiny of our nation down a deep hole as China with Solar, Wind, EV s, and education is rising to the top in the the worlds economy. Thanks to the Despicable Idiot and Brainless Orange Clown and his Cronies!!

We are going in the wrong direction. Not investing in the people in order to raise the standard of living, focus on education, become less dependent on fossil fuel and develop relationships with people instead of attacking them. This regime is focused on imperialism and oil, backward thinking goals!

Truth Matters's avatar

Why do you and I keep having these moments of synergy do you think?

Judi Lakin's avatar

I think we had the good fortune to be well educated and have learned critical thinking.

I will tell you honestly, many Americans overall, are too egocentric to: first educate themselves on current issues from a variety of sources; secondly, make any sacrifices to their lives; & lastly, to understand the dynamics the festering wounds of bigotry, hate, & discrimination cause. I will add to this, that the disinformation/ misinformation age has swallowed the minds of those who are just “soooooo busy” they blindly follow their “influencers”, friends or their social media accounts.

Little do they know they are being set up for failure! So, I’m not too confident that an ‘economic shutdown’ is possible anymore. The middle class boomers can’t do it by themselves!

This is sadly exactly what I think too. It gives me no pleasure to think it, it’s just the harsh reality of where we are.

Excellent column. I believe this is our one hope. However, you must have noticed how many Americans are acting as if everything is normal and how few are engaged in anything productive when it comes to the growing fascism in our country. It's as if they're all channeling Scarlet O'Hara after Rhett walks off. I can't see how people are going to accept the challenge of doing without. I can't even conceive what will finally open their eyes to what's happened to the country, let alone get them to accept a plan that doesn't involve instant gratification.

Truth Matters's avatar

I think I make this point in my conclusion. There are no other options. I fear we will continue to walk this dark path for some time to come Elizabeth and that’s very sad.

Taco & his condiments are literally at war with 99% of American Citizens, everyone else! It led to murder in WI, & abrutal takeover & unlimited occupancy to steal their oil. Taco even said he owns the country! It’s likely he will starve & murder them as he is doing here. Clearly, he reflects the worst of the worst!

Martin, I think we can do this, given the fantastic team of people you have suggested. I suggest we target the message to women. Women have huge influence over both political opinions and household spending decisions. We also influence one another. How do we get the economists, strategists, and communicators on board?

Truth Matters's avatar

Indeed it could happen, but it requires people to come together to make it happen.

Would you consider this? China and Russia have developed their own payment system(local currency) for buying oil from Saudi and many African nations. If America loses the US dollar as the standard for oil purchases would this not affect the US bond market and possibly crash it. I am no economist but the Venezuela oil would be a way for the US to stay in the game so to speak. Love reading your articles along with Paul Krugman, Joyce Vance, HCR, and a few others. Keep up the good work. Elbows up here in Canada.

Truth Matters's avatar

Thanks Norm,

You are correct, this is also about protecting the dollar as the reserve currency. I have spoken about this in a next my many pieces in the last week. It’s hard to keep track. 🤣

What he’s doing is accelerating Chinese tech development and along with it the shift to the digital yuan. The fracture is inbound, but the Chinese are not there yet. The thing about the Chinese is they plan ahead and have already built in the payments system into the Belt and Road initiative. The U.S. is a wounded animal lashing out.

The other as yet mentioned fact that the Chinese have now developed their own highly advanced EUV lithography machine for chip manufacturing (only at prototype stage) but it’s a massive breakthrough for them. Things are moving very quickly. - Martin

Yes, the nutcases grifting and extorting only understand the power of money. Take it away from them. Americans are nothing if not consumers. We need to bring the economy to a halt. I believe it's the only way to get their attention. I am afraid that there aren't enough Americans who care enough to boycott their favorite shopping places.

Christine Howard's avatar

You’re right on the money, all of it. God, I wish we had you in Congress. Liked what Norm had to say . Wish us luck!!

Our totally amazing leader is the stupidest, most shortsighted, narrow minded, blithering sack of blubber we could have ever imagined electing. I refuse to despair. This too shall pass.

Ken's avatar

Our nation, our country and Democracy are in the hands of a Brainless, Uneducated FOOL and his billionaire corporate cronies and grifting petroleum companies. The Blithering, man-child & Idiot has no humane compassion or concern for the normal everyday citizen of America whether they be farmers, auto workers, teachers, educators, contractors, doctors, nurses, mechanics, law enforcement, judges, et al! Science and technology, concern for our environment means nothing to this pathetic creature!

An Economic power play can only succeed if the purchase power of the bottom 90 % can AFFORD to cut back on non essential spending. I think TARGET would testify to the impact of economic power after the DEI backlash that they experienced. The issue is the unequivocal purchasing power held by the top 10 percent - will they stop buying? Will they join the cause ? Most of the top 10 % on the economic ladder have benefited from Trump policy. Rich get richer via tax policy , economic opportunity, special interests and influence . I don’t know of many middle class families buying new cars , buying bigger houses , going on big vacations or spending “ spare change “ on extravagant boats , TVs , second homes private schools , ballet class or even Retirement plans . The 90% category are two income families , with two kids , just making ends meet . Asking them to sacrifice more is a big ask when they are taking third jobs , working weekends , doing odd jobs and maxing out credit cards . I’m not sure if they HAVE any power to harness .

My money is on the Epstein files … because greed , grift and corruption is where Trump excels and everyone accepted that when they voted for him a second time … but his only weakness is his dirty little secret . His Achilles heel… his toxic masculinity. His mental illness born from his mother issues . Pedophiles … monster behavior . Sexual deviants …. Someone needs to brand his forehead with a giant scarlet letter “ P “ and the sooner the better . The only people who have taken on this presidential cancer is the women … black women … and his assault victims. Jasmine Crockett , Nancy Pelosi, the fearless state and federal prosecutors who have stood up for justice are the ones who should have the pleasure to take him down . And I hope they put him on the Capital steps, naked except his diaper and spit on him as they walk past this despicable excuse for a man or a human . Hmmm ? 🤔 too much ? My imagination might be in toxic overload.

Truth Matters's avatar

I accept that the top 10% account for 49%, but that leaves about $12.5 trillion in spending by the bottom 90%. In 2028. It’s estimated that between a 3 and 4% drop in consumer spending would without doubt apply the necessary pressure. If you are going all in on Epstein, I suggest you are dreaming. Threat ship I fear has long since failed. The evidence is no so contaminated it will likely never see a resolution.

On your point of the middle class, if your assessment is correct, they how can this demographic even be called the middle class any longer?

Bonnie Godinez's avatar

The middle class has been shrinking for several years in the US … this is why the economic disparity is becoming more of an issue .

https://youtu.be/aYLIIDG9wso?si=ddUk2Wz987frMan

And under this administration it is worsening . People are being forced to drop health care because premiums are too expensive, day care costs are rising , food prices are up , wages are stagnant and no one is saving for future retirement or emergencies . etc etc etc . But this is a trend that is not going away . So in 10 years there may not be a middle class … it is dissolving before our eyes . I’m not saying your plan can’t be implemented, I’m saying it might not be as effective as one would expect or hope … people are strapped by debt and inflation.

I know that very rich influential men will do anything to avoid being outed by the Epstein scandal… start wars , start civil unrest, anything to distract But it is not a fading issue here . Pedophiles are not accepted in our culture not even by MAGA. The slow trickle of Epstein documents is a ploy ( a violation of law ) but the truth will be revealed in time . The legal system is slow so maybe half the rapists will be dead by the time it is all exposed, but Trump can not escape this scandal. If the Republican leadership had any integrity or spine , they would go to the WH and have “a come to Jesus talk “ with The perv … and tell him to resign and flee to Saudi Arabia where child rape is not a crime for the rich oil barons .

Kat Thompson's avatar

Is the economy and money more important than pedophilia? The fact that Trump has been a close friend of a known pedophile and has protected and been protected by others in that outrageous circle seems to mean nothing. The USA is no more Christian than China or Russia.

Only money counts. Morals are so yesterday.

Laura A Merlo's avatar

And the attempt to overthrow the government five years ago, also not legal or moral. He’s utterly repulsive as a human being, and that did not deter voters. I’m afraid we need to use economic power in order to create change. There seems to be nothing too low to sway his base.

Truth Matters's avatar

I concur Laura

The colleges, universities news sources & TV networks he has sued and threatened to destroy or cut off funding is as INSANE as he is!! They are donating money to build his Presidential Library in honor of a completely and morally bankrupt monster that ranks at the bottom of the list of all US Presidents. Our nation and its citizens need to BOYCOTT Chevron, Citgo, other oil companie and the news sources that have bent down to kiss his stinking brown ass. Sadly we are losing programs like 60 Minutes and others as they are purchased by Oligarchs and their Editorial control is moved to the Right rather than a balanced news source.

We must look for Center Based reporting such as News Nation as well as Unbiased Balanced news sources !

LOOK for Fact Based Websites!

If you desire to be ENTERTAINED feel free to listen to Fox Entertainment for your lies and half truths!! Keep in mind they paid out almost a billion dollars for false reporting!! Definitely someone I would not be betting my money on However there are many Fools out there like the current JACKASS in the Oval Office who depends on their ENTERTAINMENT NEWS REPORTS

Joonbug's avatar

It's not about the bottom 90% not wanting to stop shopping. Half of the bottom 90% are MAGATs! They think this is great!

Truth Matters's avatar

Even putting them aside that still leaves $6 trillion in consumer spending with those remaining.

Joonbug's avatar

Do you think$6 trillion would be enough to stop them? If so, we better get thi boycott started!
